I've been working from home for several months now. I can honestly say that unless I get totally desparate for money, I will not be returning to work outside my home. I loved the work I did when I was a substitute teacher aide outside the home for several years, but the freedom I have now makes me so much happier. If I need or just want to take a day off, I don't have to worry if someone will get upset about it and not call me out to work again. I am home during the day and can work while my kids are in school and I'm at home when my husband leaves to go to work in the afternoons. This allows me to work, then cook dinner for him before he goes to work, and also be right there waiting to see my children's smiling faces when they get home. I cannot express how much calmer my life is and how much more content we all are now that I work from home. I do miss the coworkers I worked with but I am able to keep in touch with them and we also visit with each other fairly often.

Thank you Susan, it must be great to work at home and I guess your hubsand and children appreciate it too..
My mom used to be at home when I returned from school and I still remember how happy I was to find her there every day.. ..
It would be interesting to know what sort of work you are doing..

Thank you Susan. I checked your site, these jobs are great for those who live in the USA, and that is fine.
There must be some jobs for international members too - I have done some surveys that work in Sweden, but they pay very little, so it is not worth the time they take.
Maybe someone knows about international jobs that pay well, so I hope they tell us about them..

I actually work for several different work from home companies. I do customer service, telemarketing, data entry, and product reviews. I love my jobs and have been so happy being able to make a decent income without ever leaving the house. In fact, I am going to list several good resources to find legitimate work from home in the work at home mom section. So, if you're interested in working from home be sure to check it out! (:

I would prefer working at home. I am the type of person who will take orders unwillingly, I hate it when someone is telling me what to do. I want to do things in my own, and I don't like the feeling of being scolded when I have done something wrong. And I have noticed, that during my college days, everytime we have projects, I am not enjoying it. I get bored when everyone is just telling stories with each other and doing nothing. And at times, I end up being their enemies. LOL...So I prefer to stay at home...

I do hope you have a work at home now or will have soon. Not so many of us like to have a boss, especially if that person isn´t nice and friendly.
We like to create our own life, don´t we??

personally ,l don't like the idea of having a boss ; cause they're just authoritative and sees the employee as a nobody or lesser being - which l don't appreciate.
so, work at home is the best ,or being self employed even if you'ld like to work offline .
l like the outside world ,but wouldn't want to have anything to do with any boss .

Well, most of us want to be independent of any boss. I hope you have a good work from home opportunity, I wonder if Type International is a reliable one? I could not get there from your referral link.

I really prefer to work at home, if i can afford to work at home why not? I have two small kids to look after and i hate leaving them everyday to go to work. If i find a stable work from home business i will be very glad never to leave my house and still earning the same salary i get from my regular job..maybe even better. Will you suggest me a program?

You could go to my profile - there is a lot of good information there.
If you are really serios to make money and get a lot of more energy at the same time, I would suggest to work with GNLD, a nearly 50 year old company that works in many countries.
In Africa, where people are desperately searching for some source of income, this company has helped them to earn so much that whole villages can get a better living.
Of course it means working, especially in the beginning, but after your network grows, you will get a good residual income.
I suggest you look att the information and if you are willing to start, just ask to be my friend and we can communicate privately.

I am lucky that at my work we can choose a day or two in a week that we can work from home. I find that I am more productive when i work from home, I can get things done faster and move. Plus I stay an hour or 2 later and use the time I normally use to commute to get more things done. So it's a win win situation, I get to work in a relax space, and have more time to complete my tasks. I save on fare or gas, that's a plus. I do still need the social interaction, so having the choice to be at work 3-4x in a week is great. I'd love to someday be able to start a home based business so that when I retire I can continue to make money.

I actually do a little of both. I have a full-time job that requires I work on-site 30 hours a week. The other 10 hours are from home. All 40 hours are somewhat flexible. Then I have a part-time job that is 100% from home. I am not my own boss; I work for a couple of different companies that have the regular business heirarchy.
To be perfectly honest, I prefer working on my own schedule with no one around. I really like working from home and deciding when and where to work and not having to decide what to wear.
I do need a little bit of time with others. Going in to the office does satisfy this need to be around other people. In a perfect world, I would work from home 30 hours a week and go in to the office 10 hours a week!

i prefer working freelance whenever you work for someone they start to control you in a way ive done some waitressing and worked at reception before and i dont mind if the place is fun like i waitress on rollerskates or its the reception for a restaurant or club and ive worked for agencies before who send me to jobs aswell but although sometimes the jobs are ok they dont really get me good jobs and i always find that they say what youre like from your cv without you getting a chance to prove yourself so i prefer to work for myself and then i get better opportunities

EVERY coin has two sides.
Ordinary work is much better, personally speaking and it is actually to my likeing.I can feel more relaxed at home rather than pressed out at workplace. We can rest a little bit on the bed ,stretch out freely ,drink a cup of coffee as well as play with kids for a while .There is far too many we can do at home but not out.
On the other hand, working from home is helpful and make you more social. You talk to others ,exchange views ,get to know more people ... that is a good way to introduce yourself
