Whether you vote left, right, or somewhere in the middle (or you're undecided) do you still watch debates even if it's the opposition being featured? How many will watch the South Carolina Republican debate tonight on Fox News (9:00 EDT)? I'm looking forward to it.

No I won't. I used to watch debates; but, they are all just trying to look better in public than the other person. I have even heard that wearing the "wrong color tie" can affect the results of the debate or a poor haircut.
Personally, I don't care what color tie they wear, how their hair looks, etc. To me, the facts are what count and you find almost NO facts during these debates unless they are citing their own record and even that gets embellished.

Oh, I know what you mean and I hate that the way they look or how "comfortable" (or well rehearsed) they are makes a difference. I still watch though. I like to try to read between the lines. I'm hoping some of the more conservative candidates will shine this time around.

well..Ron Paul may have blown his chances of being elected. Hannity sure didn't help things either. It's too bad, I usually vote democrat but if it came down to Hilary vs. Ron Paul, I would have voted for Paul.

Well, I agree that Hannity was out of line, but I don't think Ron Paul hurt his chances. Controversy leads to publicity and he needs publicity to get his message out, since he's basically been being ignored by the media until now. I think his positions resonate with a lot of people from the left and the right.

Yeah, you're right about Dean, but I think (and hope) that this is different. This is a guy that the media wouldn't spit on if he was on fire before so any attention he can get seems to work in his favor... Now, if he can keep from getting banned from future debates and get his message out, he might be able to shake things up.
The Michigan GOP chairman wants Paul banned from future debates. Nothing like silencing those that with a different opinion, huh?

I sure hope so, negative publicity can be very bad for presidential candidates. I've seen candidites loose support over less. Lets not forget howard dean! the man yells yeeeaaaahhh at the end of a speech, and the next thing you know he's gone.

I didn't watch it and usually decideding whether or not I'll watch a debate has a lot to do with my current mood. One can usually gleen some information from the candidates but for the most part they (candidates and debates) seem very fake and little more than a "dog and pony" show.
I really dislike how early all this is starting, and I'm hesitant to start backing *anyone* this early.
When the election gets a bit closure I'm sure I'll start watching all the debates and doing a lot of online research on the candidates and their views.

They'll probably cover it for hours before and hours after the actual debate, LOL. I'll probably skip most of the extra stuff but I'll tune it for the debate.
