i am a carnivore trying hard to change my eating habit into a vegetarian. i've decided to make this decision because my mom has 2 friends who are suffering from cancer of the digestive system and their history was they loved to eat meat and they cannot enjoy a meal without meat.
i dont want to be like them, who are now just eating food that are pureed. their digestive system are damaged and they cannot eat solid food anymore.
from now on, i want to eat healthy foods and avoid meat. i think it will not be an easy shift for me that's why i want to know if its really that hard to be a vegetarian? :)

It's not hard for me at all. I don't miss meat. I also don't eat eggs and dairy. There are lots of soy and rice substitutes for meat and dairy. I love fruits, vegetables, grains, beans, and nuts...there are so many other delicious foods and dishes that don't have any animal products in them.

A very good attempt to try. I am a vegitarian since 7 years ago, and still I'm protecting my policy. If you are too adicted for meat and fish and eggs, it may be little bit difficult for you at the begining. But there must be a begining, friend. So start to try. And I have few advices too. Eat nutritious vegetables, fresh fruits and drink milk a lot. I think drinking milk is not against the vegetarianism. Eat lot of green vegetables which will give you calcium and iron. My intention of being a vegetarian is saving the lives of innocent animals. When I see meat and fish and eggs, my mind starts to snap the pictures of cute chickens walking all over our garden, fish swimming freely in the blue water, etc. Try your best and do it friend, and you'll notice a change in you. You will be able to control your anger, your mind and your heart will be purified more than ever. Your good will would do you a good. Best of Luck!

I think giving up anything that you enjoy can be difficult but I think you should really think about this decision you are making.
I know your fmaily friends are obviously in a lot of apin and very ill health but giving up meat can also come at a health risk....most obviously a lack or iron.
There will be many other things that are assosciated with missiong meat from your food.
I think you should really do alot of research into this before you make a decision as you do not want to end up malnutrishioned when think you are being "healthy".
Nowadays though it seems that no matter what we eat or how we live our lives it will always be the wrong way. I think it may help though if first you cut out all processed foods or food with additives. At least this way you will know where all your foods are coming from which I think we all know would benefit.
