Whats your favorite crafting hobby? I love to cross stitch...I started back in '91 and still love to do it. I've also taught myself how to quilt. I know a little bit of crochet and basic sewing. What about you...what do you like?

I love knitting. But now my eye sight is not that good. Hence I left it.

I'm sorry to hear that...I've never knitted but I'd hate to have to give up my hobby b/c of eye problems. I hope you find something you like to do and thank you for responding. LIVE IN PEACE

I don't really have favorite one in particular. Most of my creative craft work popped up within 1 day to couple of hours before deadline. I do help many of my friends and family making souvenirs for give away from 50 pieces up to 250 pieces by myself for many different occasion...such as wedding, b'day...etc. But as I said....the creative idea for crafting most of the time come up in last minute....phew....

Dove Christmas Ornament - This is one of the Christmas ornaments made by my embroidery machine.
I love to cross-stitch,which I have started a Precious Moments article for my grandbaby. I have been so busy that I have not done a lot on it but got to get busy. I love to crochet, latch hook and am trying to knit but that is a slow process. I do sew and have a embroidery machine that I love making Christmas ornaments. My friend and I are trying to get a store set up, which is on my blog in my profile, to try to sell these handmade items... There is a picture of one of the Christmas ornaments below.

I don't do any crafts right now, but I want to learn how to knit or crochet. I have a sewing machine that I use sometimes, and I make easy things like curtains. I would love to make a quilt someday. I love to do counted cross stitch. It's relaxing, and I've made some pillows and decorated sweatshirts.

I think that cross-stitch is still my favorite craft to do, though I also enjoy crocheting and sewing. Cross-stitch is wonderful, though, because I can make a picture out of tiny little X's.

I have loved cross stitch from the first day I started. I have even made some of my own charts. I still think it is amazing to take a blank piece of fabric and watch a picture emerge from it. Thank you for responding. LIVE IN PEACE

Cross stitch is great, it's very relaxing. I also love ceramics. Not just painting them. I love the shops that sell greenware and cleaning it myself then taking it back to be fired and painting and then getting it fired again if necessary. I'm also a big fan of sewing.

I love cross stitch, but sadly I dont have time for that any more. I used to do it every day for few years and enjoyed it very much. I like paiting and making earings and neckleses for my self to wear. I also enjoy doing craft with my son. We have a whole boh with goodies and we take it out and make presents for everyone.

I come from a family of crafty people and enjoy many crafts as well as other hobbies. I really like to create artwork using different papers and textiles. I've done a few really great pieces of art. One hangs in my husband's office and he gets many compliements on it. I've even had people ask if I would make something for them but I've not really done that yet. They usually aren't willing to pay what it costs me to make them plus my time. Other than that I enjoy cooking and reading.

I like cross stiching too. It doesn't take up too much space and it is something which you can pick up and put down quite easily. I have recently acquired a sewing machine so I am attempting to learn how to sew, or at least make myself a skirt. I think it is one of those useful skills which I really ought to know by now. My mother and grandmother are great dress-makers so I'm hoping I have inherited this talent. We will see.

When I do something like that I like to scrapbook. My mom got me into it and it's kind of nice. I get things more organized as well. That's always a plus. I have so many pictures it's not even funny.

I love to cross stitch too and have tried crochet but am a little slow and not too good at the moment I can basic knit like scarfs... I love to do scrapbooking but takes up alot of my time, especially unpacking and then packing up my things as I don't have appropriate space to keep it layed out all the time to be able to come back too easily enough....

I love to scrapbook and haven't been able to do it for a while now. I miss it so much. It is such a great feeling when you complete a page of something that happened in your childs life that will be looked at for many years to come. I also find it very relaxing. I have been trying to teach myself how to quilt. I did quilt a pillow just for practice but I used the wrong fabric and it stretched a bit but it is really cute. I traced my daughters little hand on a piece of fabric and then sewed it on a block of a different color with pretty large stitches. I like how it came out even if its a bit off lol. I have been cutting fabric to get some squares but it takes forever just to cut them out. Nice topic.

When I was younger, my mother taught me how to knit and I was pretty good at it. I would get my allowance and buy a different colored yarn and knit something nice. Now, years later I tried to pick the hobby back up again, but to my dismay I don't have a clue how I used to knit. I even brought a learn how to book, but wasn't able to get it like it was supposed to be. I tried for about a week and gave up. Responding to this discussion makes me want to try again. Maybe I'll remember something.

well as you know i have many hobbies one of which includes cross stitch but i dont do that much anymore now days as my new love is mostly web design and graphic design. i love making something out of nothing and having millions of people seeing it and being able to see my work (unfortunately some of them also can take it lol) i was going to post a piece of my work but for some reason mylot wont allow me to or something so i will just say that it was a piece that i won an award on which was kinda cool and that it was used for backgrounds and such and was an abstract piece. Peace Out ~*~J_Dawgs~*~
