Oh well yes i should be getting one soon. here in Chennai, India the weather is really heating up. Yesterday the max temp we had was about 43degrees celsius. If i step out i feel like i am being roasted under the sun. Infact i have decided to get myself an aircon tomorrow. Hoping to find something which can cool at around -30 degrees. LOL

We have not put our Air Conditoning on for this summer. In last few days the weather was little warm, but not that hot. Again from yesterday it is feeling cold here. I think this year weather is behaving so crazy all over the world.

Hello, terrz,i have airconditioning at home but it seems that i have not used it for long time, even when it was the hot summer time. In the day time,i went to work and when i was at home at the night time, the temperature would not be too high,i did not need aircondiioning as the weather here was hot and dry,but i did not really feel too hot at the night time,I could survive without swicting it on.

Well, we had record breaking 85 here in Seattle yesterday, and today it will be lucky if it makes it much past 70. Our normal for this yr. is around 65, so 85 is warm. But it felt Good to have one day of this weather.
We do not have to have Air Conditioners here for the most part. It is never much about 85 except for maybe 2 weeks the whole yr. most yrs. so we just use Fans, and Ceiling fans are the best here.

Terry, I have my air conditioner on almost 365 days a year. I may use my heat one to three times a year.

Our house is 26 years old with an air conditioner too small for it's size. During the summer months we turn it on and keep the thermostat on about 75 and we spend about $150 a month for it and don't stay that cool especially at night. So, we try to wait until at least June to turn it on. Even with our ceiling fans and room fans, we sometimes sit in our own persperation. Right now, the nights are cool enough to open the bedroom window at night and we have a ceiling fan and another fan in the bedroom to keep us cool. When it starts staying at 70 degrees or more all night long, it won't cool off the house any more and we'll have to turn on the AC. There is nothing worse than trying to sleep while it is too hot for even the sheet on you!

i do have an airconditioning unit installed in my room and since summer's here my electric bill jacked up because we started using the aircondiotionig during some days and nights.it may be an added expense but i look at it in a different way, i see it as an incestment on my productivity .

Yes, we turned ours on week before last when we had several days in the high 80's. Then last week we had some cool days and had to turn the air off. Last night it got so chilly here that we had to put the heat back on! It has been really strange weather here lately. I am like you, I cannot sleep when I am hot. I actually like it to be chilly...then it is so comforting to curl up in all the blankets to get warm!

You're in NJ and I'm in NY--so it's hot here too now..and alas,...I don't have air-conditioning, but do have the fans going on full blast.
