I think the age cutoff should be 12. It ticks me off for older teenagers and adults to come to my door in a costume. If you want candy, target is down the street!

For trick or treating yes there should be a cut off age but for dressing up there shouldnt be. Anyone any age can and should dress up if they want.

I agree with Scooter.
I don't think there should be a cut-off age for dressing up, just for going trick-or-treating.
I'd say 12 years old. Sure, you're not a little kid anymore but you're not a teenager yet either.
(Plus that's the usual age limit for children eating for free off of the Kid's Meals) ;)

I agree that there should be an age limit for treat or treating, but dressing up is fun and no limit there. My family is dressing up as pirates. Bonfire for the older kids, trick or treating for our little ones.

Well there shouldn't be any cut-off age as such.. you should do as long as you enjoy it!! Thats what I feel..

I also agree. I think that it's good to remain a child at heart and to have fun.
Yet, to abuse it by going trick or treating, is wrong. It's okay to have fun, but leave the candy for the kids, and don't annoy others by knocking on their doors to get candy.

I completely agree! When I'm passing out candy, I'll give the older kids one tiny piece of candy. They usually look at me, then the bowl, then give me a confused look.

Hmm, do you still go trick or treating? If not, I don't think there should be any cut-off.

No way, why should there be a cut off age for ANYTHING? Some of the best costumes I have seen, have been on what would be considered "seniors'. While the young ones are cute in adorable costumes, I have seen some pretty scary..and downright funny costumes on the older crowd. Bless them for being young at heart, I plan on being just like them.

A person is never too old to dress up for Halloween. I've known people who were in their 50's 60's and 70's to dress up.

I don't think age matters too much. I'm 25, and don't dress up, but never really liked dressing up in the first place. My mom whos into her 50's still dresses up, but she is a teacher, but really enjoys putting a costume together.

Bah, I'm 23 and I'm dressing up. There are very few opportunities to go all-out on a strange costume, so make the most of it. This is my first Halloween, though, so I could be biased.
