I'm not sure with other country or any other school. However, my secondary school are really strict in discipline. Girls are not allow to have long hairs, you can only have the hair length of not over your collar. You can't have your fringe longer than your eyebrows. For boys, you can't have your hair too long or too short. Well, I want to know you guys' opinion and how about your school?

Nooo! That's really unfair. I think uniforms are fine, but your hair is a part of your body and the school should have no choice about how long it is! I certainly wouldn't be able to go to school there, my hair is much too long.

Thats what I am saying. I'd die if someone made me cut my hair to go to their school. This is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard!!

I think that is incredibly unfair. I would not like to send my children to a school like that. The school I went to did not have any rules about hair length for boys or girls. The only rule they had was that hats, bandanas or other head coverings could not be worn by boys or girls inside the building.
I think the only rules about hair length should be purely about safety like a boy or girl with long hair should be required to tie it back during gym or shop class to prevent accidents or even at recess on the playground depending on what play equipment they have. I knew of a girl with long hair once that got it tangled around the middle of a merry-go-round. She had to be cut loose and her scalp was damaged.
To me a child's hair length is up to the child and his/her parents up to a certain age only. A school should not have any say in the matter.

I think school shouldn't try to tell kids what to do with their hair. I think it is just controlling, unless they are a private school.

Wow that ridiculous. I know several religions where the woman aren't suppose to cut their hair. I can't believe they can tell you how long or how short your hair.
What country is this in?
I'd go nuts cause my hair is really long, almost past my butt and if I were to have to cut it I would be ticked! I love long hair and short hair looks horrible on me!!

Well i think you should be able to decide how long or short you want your own hair, if you arent quite old enought to make that decision then your guardians should decide. Where i went to school never had any rules on hair lenght. And the schools that my children go to now have no rules on it either. I am not sure if any schools in the United States have those kind of rules? That would be interesting to me if they did.
