What is the saddest song you know?

I don't know if you listen to showtunes or Broadway, but 'On My Own' from Les Miserables is one of saddest songs ever...period.

I can think of several songs. One is One more day with you by Diamond Rio. Another song would be Life Ain't Always beautiful by Gary Alan (who lost his wife, she committed suiside in real life), I'll Wait for you by Joe Nichols that is another said song. One I just recently heard was on the ACM's was Tim McGraws song called "if you read this" It was about fallen soliders and he had all the fallen soldiers families on stage. It was really touching. Ok those were all country songs for other type I would say Dance with my father as it is pretty sad. It is by Luther Vandrose.

There's this song called "Christmas shoes" I THINK it's by Alabama and it's a little boy asking Santa for a nice pair of shoes to give his mama on Christmas because she's sick & going to meet Jesus. OMG that song makes me CRY like a baby! I seriously cannot listen to that song. Im a cry baby though so lots of songs can make me cry for different reasons. "Daddy's hands" by Holly Dunn older song makes me cry and "COuld not ask for more" edwin Mccain makes me cry...lots of songs do that to me. :]

The saddest song I have ever heard was Luther Vandross's song "Dance With My Father Again" Oh it just broke my heart because Im extremely close with my father and it made me think of when its gonna be my dads time to pass. If anyone has never heard go listen to it now its a very emotional song. :(

the song that always makes me cry is Meatloaf's "Two outta Three aint Bad. If you listen to the words, it is so sad.
