I hae just brought another cat into my household. I already have 3, one who is 10 and 2 who are just over a year old. 2 females and 1 male. The new cat is a female. My older cat tolerates the others andisnt really bothered too...

rosycat I did keep her in a seperate room for a week and then began to let her out when i was there to keep an eye on things and it seemed to be ok to begin with. Its getting worse now, to the extent that they are actually fighting, and its always her that starts it....

rosycat i know i am impatient! I just want them all to be happy and hate the thought that i have upset my others by bringin in a newone. You're right tho, it is time.

rosycat Thank you for your comments. I guess I do need to let them sort it out themselves, and maybe I am being impatient! i just feel sorry for the new one being on her own all the time, but maybe that is what she wants?

rosycat she has the spare room as her space but i feel that she wants company. I accept that she needs to assert herself, maybe I just need to give it more time?

rosycat Thanks for that. We dont have hawks here so Im sure they will be safe. Im not sure I fancy a giant rabbit tho, I was thinking more along the lines of a dwarf lop eared, which is what i had before, or a couple of lionheads.

rosycat Ive decided that im going to get 2 rabbits and not a guinea pig. They will be quite safe running around my garden, it is walled, we dont have hawks or coyotes here, foxes cant get in and my cat keeps other cats away from my grden, so Im not worried about...

rosycat I dont take any notice of advertising at all and cant think of one thing that I have bought because of the advert for it. I like to try things for myself or on the recommendation from my friends, not from a tv ad or magazine article. Advertising must work tho...

rosycat I have been to sardinia twice, about 10 years ago, and yes it is a beautiful place to be. The only thing I found tho was that Im from the UK and they didint speak very much english over there, and Im not good with italian, so communication was a bit difficult....

rosycat Men are very good at sulking! They need to go off on their own and sort their problems out in their head. once your husband has done this, he will come back to you as if nothing has happened, but you should let him do it without worrying about it. Us women...

rosycat As a woman, I always wait for the guy to make the first move, whether thats right or wrong in these days of equality, who knows, but that is just me. Sometimes I wish i could be more pro-active, but its just not me.
