I hae just brought another cat into my household. I already have 3, one who is 10 and 2 who are just over a year old. 2 females and 1 male. The new cat is a female. My older cat tolerates the others andisnt really bothered too...

fighting cats

rosycat I did keep her in a seperate room for a week and then began to let her out when i was there to keep an eye on things and it seemed to be ok to begin with. Its getting worse now, to the extent that they are actually fighting, and its always her that starts it....

rosycat i know i am impatient! I just want them all to be happy and hate the thought that i have upset my others by bringin in a newone. You're right tho, it is time.

rosycat Thank you for your comments. I guess I do need to let them sort it out themselves, and maybe I am being impatient! i just feel sorry for the new one being on her own all the time, but maybe that is what she wants?

rosycat she has the spare room as her space but i feel that she wants company. I accept that she needs to assert herself, maybe I just need to give it more time?

rosycat Thanks for that. We dont have hawks here so Im sure they will be safe. Im not sure I fancy a giant rabbit tho, I was thinking more along the lines of a dwarf lop eared, which is what i had before, or a couple of lionheads.

rosycat Ive decided that im going to get 2 rabbits and not a guinea pig. They will be quite safe running around my garden, it is walled, we dont have hawks or coyotes here, foxes cant get in and my cat keeps other cats away from my grden, so Im not worried about...

Does your cat run away at the sight of you picking up a can of deodorant? Mine does! As soon as I reach out a hand for it, shes off, under the bed hiding. I dont know why, its not like ive ever sprayed anything at her or anything...

rosycat If he's only done it the once and says he never will again, you have to let it go and try and put it behind you otherwise it will destroy your relationship.

I havent heard from my bf in over a week now, and we were supposed to be meeting up this weekend. I sent him a text yesterday saying that I felt he didnt care about me and I have had no reply. I am very angry but also very sad....

rosycat we've been together for over a year, altho we were togther 10 years ago for 4 years. He is away a lot with his job, so there are times when we dont speak, but I thought we sorted it out. Obviously I was wrong!
