My spoken English is poor.How can I improve it?

If you are poor in spoken English but good in writing, I think it's okay. Being good at written English means that you have good grammar and English is all about good grammar. I'm not saying that you forget about spoken English. You can practice by conversing with people in your place that knows spoken English well.

In todays world its very important to have a good command over english language. I have some following tips for you to improve spoken English: 1. Listen to good english:- Listen to english news. (Not american movies - its not pure english- prefer to get the accent of UK english). The more you listen the more you get to know how good english is spoken and try to speak in that way. Also you indirectly tune your grammer. 2. Try to speak in english with your friends. I think thats the most important thing of all. DO mistakes. It doesnt matter, initially you will think and speak but as days goes by you will be able to get that naturally! 3. You have to give a lot of importantce to grammer. If u make mstakes in grammer let it be how good your acecnt or fluency of speaking, the otherone will surely tell that you are a donkey in english speaking. So grammer perfection is must. Some mistakes are allowed but some basics are unforgivable. 4. Also read novels , they are great source of new words and build up your vocabulary. I hope i helped you. Have a nice day!!

I think practicing speaking at all times could help you get there. So, try it and see if it works for you at all.

i guess for you to improve your english speaking you have to read books and as much as possible read them aloud... and what I did to improve my english speaking was i bought this "ice breaker" thing... it is a card with random questions.. the questions is basically more of asking for your opinion...

I think if you want to read some novels you can try project Gutenberg http://www.gutenberg.org/ there is a lot of free book in different formats some with images from the real book that is so cool, I don't like to read much novels but I think I must to read because it is a good way to improve my English. but the most important is enjoy learning if you feel that you are not enjoying to learning stop and try another day.

"You know I am a Chinese boy.The chance I talk with English speaking country's people is very rare." man don't say that coz you can find on internet a lot of programs for talk with a native speaker , do you know paltalk?, I am not a native speaker and my english is worse but I am trying to improve, 1. I am getting rid of the Spanish, I dont watch anything in Spanish and I don't read anything in Spanish, just music in english, and movies without subtitles or subtitle in english, 2. I am using software in English msn in english hotmail in english and all I can in english. 3. it is not a good idea talk with no native speaker or people who is learning, try to find someone native speaker, I have some net friend who are native speaker. try downloading Mozilla Firefox it is a internet explorer and if you download the english version it have a spell tool like word :D

just join for any english speaking course they can develop yourpersonality as well as english improvement. it will definately work
