Do you always wear your seat belt while driving?

in the USA it is a Law that you have to wear your seatbelt. the police can pull you over and fine you a few hundred dollars (i think it varies by state)!! so not only is it CHEAPER to just wear your seatbelt, but it is safer!! dont most accidents happen within 10 miles of home? something like that..so "short distances" are just as needful of a seatbelt as longer trips.

I always wear my seatbelt long or short distances i think its very important to wear your seatbelt. It could save your life.

I always wear my seatbelt. When the kids were little we realized how hypocritical it was to strap the kids in, but not ourselves. We all just got into the habit of wearing our seatbelts. I remember the kids one time saying we couldn't go yet because dad didn't have his seatbelt on! I think it is important to wear a seatbelt. Not just for safety reasons, but now the police can pull you over and give you a ticket for not wearing your seatbelt.

yup, i always wear seatbelt while driving. i usually put on my seatbelt after i've started my engine. it's a habit actually, no matter how far or near. you never know, seatbelt plays an important role! you should never be in a car without a seatbelt, if possible!^_^

I think it is important to always wear a seatbelt. I put mine on automatically when i get into the car, even before ive switched the engine on, whether im just going down the road or on a long journey. You never know when something is going to happen, and it might just save your life.

Yes but that is because it is a law in singapore to wear a seat belt while driving or even passengers in the car yea ... anyway who knows the seat belt might save us a life from a accident

For me I always fasten my seat belt as soon as my car has left my driveway onto the public road. Even though I’m traveling a short distance I still insist to have my seat bell fastened and this could cultivate sense of safety on road.

I always wear mine, even if I am just going a couple blocks. You never know when an accident is going to happen. You should be safe than sorry.

Not necessarily.. Only for the last few days I have been wearing the seat belts coz the cops are frisking every car and the ones without the seat belts on are penalised... I don't like wearing seat belts but now I do have to wear them... I know they are for my safety only, but I know how to drive safe and there is no need for me to have them on...

All of my family wears their seatbelts. And if I have a passenger that don't want to wear one, I tell them to put it on or pay the ticket if we get stopped for them if they dont have one on..But everyone that is a passenger in my car wears the seatbelt.

Long distance or just a short distance I always put my seatbelt on. My son who is grown used to get on my and his dad's case about not putting our seatbelts on and that was before it was a law to wear your seatbelt so now it has been a long time habit and everytime the car is moving my seatbelt is on.

It is a law to wear one in Canada, but alas I am a rebel and don't. Cab drivers are exempt from wearing them in town so I just got used to not wearing them. The only time I wear one now is if I think I may hit a police roadblock or I am on the highway. My friend has a new car and the thing beeps at you non stop even in the passenger seat if you don't put on the belt on so her car is the exception. I know I should wear one and maybe someday I will get in the habit of putting it on.

Wearing a seat belt happens as automatically as starting the car. Can not even imagine someone not putting on the seat belt specially the driver.

I always make sure that I wear a seat belt and I insist that all passengers in the car must also wear their seat belts. The simple reason is safety. No one should risk their own lives while travelling. It's well known that seat belts save lives. Also, the other reason is that we can be fined is we are caught by the police not wearing seat belt.
