as for me, i call for help. i can no longer take the fun out all for myself now that i am getting a lot older. whenever i am about to cook, i prefer that my children prepare everything first. then i can cook fast as everything has been dealt with accordingly. yes, i know that it is nice to have someone around to talk to while doing some cooking. especially when you can that someone to hand over some of the condiments which will be needed in the process.

i prefer that there is someone to help me with the chore. cooking becomes faster and a much easier task when there is someone around to help me out with the slicing and the washing of vegetables...and the preparation of the others things to be used, too.

I prefer to cook alone also. I kinda like the offer to help but hate having to lead or tell what needs to be done. I also hate having to step around others. Sometimes I do like when hubby and I cook together, but we always have this great rhythum and always work perfectly together in the kitchen. Never have to tell the other what goes next, we just do it.

HI my odd friend henazea, i am also of the same odd type like you. i too hate if someone tries to help me with my cooking. the maximum help that i want in my cooking is the peeling of onions, rest i use my mixer, grinder. and cuttin of onions if i need them to be cut. otherwise rest all , i can do on my own. i am very bad in cutting. in cutting of the veggies too, i need help, but when cooking is done, i dont want any one. i love and enjoy cooking by myself. i think i can make more tasty and in more quantity, if i make alone without any disturbance.

It depends on what I am cooking. If there is a lot of fine chopping to be done I ask hubby to help because he is better at chopping things up than I am but most of the time he stays out of my way and I out of his in the kitchen. We both have pretty distinctive styles of cooking and is just better to ask and heed whatever the answer is lol.

Oh yeah all the time :) My hubby likes to bother me when I am cooking and I would say Get out of my kitchen and leave me alone :) LOL whenever I am cooking I like to be alone in the kitchen and everybody else can go to the living room and watch tv.

I am the same way. I prefer to cook alone. I do let my daughter help cook a few things as she needs to learn how. My husband is a good cook too. I just dont like cooking together.

When I was a teen and cooking for the family my brother used to come buy and add spice to whatever I was cooking. It would drive me crazy. Now my husband does the same thing but I just shake my head and laugh, I think it is a man thing.

I am not that good of a cook so I like it when someone offers to help me in the kitchen. On nights that my partner isn't feeling well her children often come into the kitchen to help me cook. The oldest knows how to do more in the kitchen then I do. LOL. I often will tell my partner that I will cook dinner if she will help me. That way she kinda gets a break from the kitchen but yet we both get to spend more time together. By the time we are done cooking the meal she has kicked me out of the kitchen.
