Is your child safe from your baby sitter?

Leaving your child at home with his/her nanny? Are you sure your baby is in the safe hands? What do you think that a baby sitter may posses to get that trust? Is there any guidelines before hiring a nanny?

I have never left my children alone with anyone I didn't know for at least years. You can never be too careful. I have my mom, my husband's mom, and a teenager next door to me whom I'm known forever. That's it. I don't deal with strangers when it comes to my children's safety.
