once, somebody told me that there is someone who looked very much like me. well we met. only to find that she is so different from me. people who know me enough will never mistake her for me. the height, the texture of the skin, the fall of the hair...so many differences. it could be that there is a similarity but not that striking.

I've had people tell me I look just like "so & so" but when I see a pix I never think there is anything in common.
The former roomie meet 2, one was also female, but 10 yrs younger & the other was about her age & male.
I'm waiting to see if I will ever meet one of mine - but at 53, he/she had better hurry!

I too believe that we have a twin somewhere in this world. I am sure that there are other people out there that look just like us or have similar qualities or characteristics. It would be interesting to run into someone that did look like me but so far I have not seen that person. My brother and sister are actual twins but do not look alike of course. :-)

I think it is possible. I don't think about finding my twin. Maybe he could even be on another planet in the galaxy. When you think about it, it is amazing that 6 billion people could all look different. I could spend a lifetime searching for my twin, but not being sure he even existed.

I think there is some truth to this possibility...my next door neighbor has been mistaken for my ex-husband--by my DAUGHTER! From hair to clothes to walking...scary! And their child--except for blond (very fair) hair and bluer-than-blue eyes looks exactly my daughter (and is 13+ years older!). Very scary!
As for me....I've heard a lot but just don't think I've met them yet, other than in mirror-land!

i do not dwell on this thought at all. somebody had given this information before. he said that it will be good to consider it since there is a possibility that i will meet my twin someday. until now, i can hardly believe this. it might be remote but there is a possibilitly if we consider the saying which goes 'truth is stranger than fiction'.

Yes,once in 1988 while i attended a radar course in manchester, n.h. i wnt to the mall and an old lady and her husband were staring at me, and they signed me to approach them. Out of curiosity i did. then she started to drop tears of her eyes. also asked if she could hug me. I said yes. Then, later on he explained me their son who looked just like me ..i saw the photo... some months before...the strange is that i am from venezuela! Freddy Osteicoechea

Maybe you are right, we are 6.3 milliards of people, so to find a twin is difficult, but definitely we all have a twin.

I believe it when I see it but I am sure there might be a possibility for it to be so. I can't wait to meet my twin someday.

Like many others I have heard nefore that everyone has a twin somewhere in the world. But I have never actually heard that there is a twin to me somewhere in this world. Now some people would say that is a good thing, and that probably includes my partner who thinks one of me is enough.
The interesting thing is that I know people who have been told they have a twin, then met the person and found they were not alike. They had different politics, religion and outlook on life. Plus when they were side by side, they did not look at all alike. One friend was told he had a twin and quite by accident he met the woman in the street. Both of them got quite a rude shock to meet this other person who looked like them. No, they weren't twins at all but did share some things other than looks. Birthdays, age and so on were all the same, born in the same city but a different hospital. Both were divorced so they dated for a while, but friend called it off. Said he felt "uncomfortable" about the whole thing, without knowing why. She was persistent, so in the end he moved to another state, remarried and had a couple more children.
Then a few years later our friend was contacted by this agency called Jigsaw. You guessed it, this woman was claiming to be his half-sister and that their father had been a bit of a lad in his youth. Friend not happy with the situation, but as his father had been killed in WWII, there was no proof either way. Friend refused to give a DNA sample all the same as was very upset by the whole business. It took a pretty bad toll on his health.
Since then, I have been determined that if I was ever told or to meet someone who looked like me, I would run away very fast.

I have heard similar sayings but I don't know it is right or not. If that is true we have to believe that half of the total human population on earth is the twin of the other half. There is no logic in that.
But to me, I consider one person as my twin. I never met her in person. She was born on the same time, same day, same month, same year when I was born. She was born in the USA and I am in India. She lives in Minnesota. I consider her and call her as my twin sister and she too call me her twin brother. We have email communications frequently saying all our problems each other. We celebrate our birthday together every year for the last five years.

I'm always being confused for someone else. People come up and start talking to me thinking I'm someone they know. One of these days I'll ask them who it is. It's probably more than one person, though because I get that wherever I go. I actually have'nt seen anyone that I thought looked like me.
