no edit button?

why is it that here on mylot, there is no "edit" button to be able to edit your own posts, or at least the original topic starter post.
i sometimes find that when i have submitted my post, i come up with something else that may be relevant, or perhaps a spelling error that i would like to correct. it would be a very useful feature to have for many people (well i think it would).
other forums and forum style sites like this one have edit buttons to be used on your own posts, why doesn't mylot?

I support you. Edit button will be very usefull if you need to fix mistakes or to complete your discussion, or even to delete if there are dublicated. Also i think that the data and time of the discussions and the posts will be ok. But perhaps the software of the forum has no this option for all the users.

thank you also for your response. yes it would be a great idea to be able to delete your own posts too, especially if they are duplicates. i use another forum (game related) and you can edit any post that is yours, and delete a post if it is the start of a new topic if no one else has posted. it is like that so that if people have posted, you can't delete the original poster topic, less confusion that way.

I know I have found this also it is very annoying that there is no edit button I think there should be one or at least have one when you reach a certain amount of posts like they do with copy and paste. Sometimes I posted something then found I made a mistake.

thank you very much for your response, i too sometimes only just notice my mistakes after it has been posted, and though i don't expect all my posts to be perfect, it would just be nice to correct things when i notice them.

I am not sure why myLot does not have an edit button, and in fact I am going to contact them about it because I think it would be a good feature because I have made some errors and I feel silly having to add a comment just to correct the error :(. I think it would be good because we make errors frequently, but it may be bad because some people may delete their discussions with the edit button.
