Hi everyone. I've been using McAfee for quite some time but managed to stop my illegal use. Then, I managed to use Avast! which was quite strong but had one unsecured attack. Now, I'm using AntiVir and it's doing well. What antivirus do you prefer?

Likewise here, I am using a free version antivirus, which is Avira AntiVir Personal Classic Edition. I have been using this one for over a longer period of time. Since using this one, I have never encountered any problems at all with regards to the system performance of my machine. Otherwise, I am very much satisfied with this software. One of its features is that it updates regularly and can be scheduled at your most convenient or spare time. It is very light on resources and does not eat a lot of memory. Hence, does not slow down your computer. It scanned pretty well. It detects and deletes rootkits, worms, viruses, trojans, etc. Overall, it is my recommended free antivirus to everyone. Have a nice day!

Earlier I used Norton antivirus. At present I am using both AVG7.5 and avast!Antivirus. Actually I do not know much about which is the most effective one lol... All these were installed by the technician from the computer shop.

I feel at the moment based on my usage, i feel that Avast Home Edition is good considering it is free for home use and it is quite a decent antivirus and very light too and updates automatically daily without fail.

I am using Avast at the moment and was told it is quite a good one. My Dad downloaded it for me yesterday as we installed the windows millenium edition. I hope it works well for me because I am crap with computers and would not know how to de bug my computer to save my life lol. Please wish me luck that I don't get bugged for the next few months. I can't afford to get bugged lol.

ever since i got rid of Norton, i've been using AVG. i really don't like Norton, at first i couldn't uninstall it, i even have to find a removing software that could uninstall it. it pissed me off so bad. i think Norton was a virus itself. but it's not really cause a lot of people trust that. anyways, don't use Norton. haha

I use AVG, and as of now, I can't access my e-gold since viruses are flooding my PC. It's still good for a freeware though, but just a caution of warning: always update your anti-virus to keep your PC in top-shape. I wish I could access my e-gold now. I tried removing the virus thru AVG and still they come back. Sigh...
