What do you think about video games?

What do you think about video games? I don't mean what's your favorite although you can write. I want to know do you think they are just loosing time, great entertainment or do you have some other opinion about them? I think that they are great entertainment, but you should not became addicted to them. Some of my fiends play World of Warcraft and I like it as a game, but some of them play it for hours and hours. I see why they can, but it is stupid for me. If you think about it, you realize that it is just loosing of time. If you play it for hours you make damage to your health, you are loosing time, you learn nothing, you earn nothing except game experience, although I have heard that some people sell some things in game for real money despite it is an illegal action. I play games sometimes, but I am not addicted.
