Can you guys explain to me how it works and how I can make money on it? Do I need a site? Do I need to sell something on the site?

From what I understand, yes you have to have your site and they pay you just for having your site up on their site. But, I have heard alot that they don't pay you when you reach your payout. So, you might want to do some more digging about it to find out more for sure.
