You might want to check out the links at the Horror Writers Association for Readers. There is some pretty good stuff, classic and current available... you also might want to join Book Mooch: http://www.bookmooch.com this site offers trading with other members for book that you may want, for books that you want to be rid of... membership is free! :)

The last really good ghost story I read was called Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill(Who is Stephen King's son, by the way). It is about an aging rock legend with a passion for macabre items. He can't resist buying a ghost on the internet. I can't tell you any more without spoiling it, but trust me, it is a good one.

Try reading Dean Koontz books. I went to him after Stephen King. You could try googling about ghost stories and that might send you in a particular authors direction. Reading is grand and I hope you find the book that you are looking for.

Hi shambuca, hope you are well. I agree with your other responders most Stephen King and Dean Koontz are pretty good books. The last book I read was Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, It was the last in his four books that I've read and although I love ghost stories and stuff like that, I would thoroughly recommend his books as he is an excellent auther some of his other works are The Da Vinci Code, Deception Point and Digital Fortress, the two latter books are earlier products of his work but still pretty good, The Da Vinci Code, if you haven't already read it, is phenomenal and way way better than the film. Definately a good read and one I'd recommend!
