Well, as a college student, the microwave has been my friend for YEARS all starting with the infamous ramon noodles...yum yum (NOT)! :) However, that's all we basically had in the dorms were microwaves. Now that I have been living in an apartment, I kind of perfer cooking on the stove and fixing some well balanced meals.
But when time is pressed, I can always fall back on my trust friend, mr. microwave. :)

i live in Africa and don't have a microwave. i'm used to using a stove and my food is sweeter, hahaha funny as it may seem it's what we believe down here;seems true because i tried it when my cousins bought one and they use it only to warm food brought out of the freezer(especially bread). use gas and cooker also only when there is electricity and the gas;ahh!!! can't remember when i used it last, the prices have shoot up and can't afford one for now. the type of meals we consume take hours to cook and if i quote you they're "well balanced meals" and for that you can't use mr microwave. another option is to use firewood and charcoal when all else fails.

I would rather use a Stove, I like to cook from stracth food taste better, when you are at work and want to warm up your food, or even at home a Microwave is more convient.Sometimes they have those Microwable dinner, when in a hurry they are good!

Im sorry but I never had a microwave oven. I heard that its easier to cook there. I want to have one because I want to learn and be able to bake cookies and cakes. But as of now, I dont even know how to operate one. As of now, I am using a stove in cooking foods. And I know a lot recipes that I can cook with my beloved stove.

I use both microwave and the stove but i don't use microwave for cooking i only use it for heating up the left over food.I feel like cooking on the stove is tastier then cooking in the microwave.
However when i am in a hurry or busy i will use microwave instead of cooking on the stove.Because cooking on the stove requires more work and more times. You need watch out while you are cooking because you can't set up the timer for stove, you have to work manually infront the stove.

I think stuff that you cook on the stove stays hot longer...and it tastes better. The juices stay in the food. I love cooking for my family! The stove top and oven is my best friend in my house.

We don't even own a microwave (we could have gotten one cheap, but we barely have the room for it, plus in the end we really didn't see the need), so we're forced to use the stove and/or oven. I really don't mind this as I personally do think that anything cooked on a stove tastes better.

I actually prefer the stove or actually the oven. I think the microwave makes food soggy.
