I had a great response on here for my suggestion of starting a kids activities site. I have created the site now and it is live at a temporary URL while I decide whether to buy a domain for it.
It has limited activities on there, but I will be adding a new one every day. I would love feedback from people on the design and the ideas on the site, and whether there is anythign you would like to see on there.

U have done a fantastic job here, bt nothing is perfect nd so here goes m suggestions
in language section, y havnt u added smthng related to languages
like some games that may interest children to begin a desire to learn languages
in reading section i was hoping to find some nice 1 paged stories that can increase the reading power , vocabulary etc of the child
in writing section u shud add games eg. picture writing, its a world known process that we draw a series of pictures and then ask the child to make a story out of those pics.
many other suggestions can b also included by brainstorming, go for it
all the best
you are doing a good thing and i praise your efforts

I am hoping to add more outdoor activities now the summer has started here. I think kids need to be able to explore their outdoor environment in a lot of different ways.

Hi my friend, nice of you to set up a site for kids.
Just curious for what age is the site for - maybe you want to put it more prominently. Also, the buttons/links are left-aligned - looks a bit strange all squeezed to the left. :P

The site is for age 2-7. You are right I do need to display it more obviously on the pages.
I'm not sure what you mean about the buttons, I need them all on the navigation bar on the left.

The buttons stay left that's fine. Now imagine the buttons to be occupying one column - I am saying you might want to e.g. center the buttons within this column instead of giving it the left alignment.

Good informations. It is helpful to both parents and children. Enganging kids with some activities is a difficult task. Your site will defenetly attract lots of traffic. Wish you all the best.

It looks great to me and with summer just around the corner (my son's last day of school is tomorrow) it will be nice to have somewhere to go to for ideas. Thanks for starting it and for sharing the link. Something you might add to the art section would be a treasure bottle, my son has made a couple in school, and really enjoyed them. You put a little sand in an empty, clean and dry plastic bottle, you could add a little glitter, then have them put small things in it, small rocks, tiny toys, pictures, whatever they'd like really, then put the lid back on and let them enjoy it. My son even made one as a school "how to" project. You could put a treasure or scavenger hunt, I was surprised that not a lot of people think about doing them any more with kids, even little ones can enjoy them with help. Thanks again for the site. Keep up the good work.

Congratulations on your new baby! That is a great site. It's great for moms and kids alike, I wish I had children of my own but for now, it'll be helpful for me as an aunt. I will think of activities that I can share with you. Will get back as soon as I can. Thanks for the wonderful idea :)
