Is it a sin to be vain about yourself? Is it wrong to be not satisfied of how you look?

i don't think wanting to look good is a sin. being vain doesn't mean a dissatisfaction with your look. it is means that one wants to enhance the beauty he or she possess.

i think its okay to be vain as long as it doesnt control your life. everyone has to look good to feel good and be able to perform well in life. but being too vain is not good at all. it might interfere with your life and finally consume the whole of you.

Quote: "Your so vain, you probably think this song is about you, your so vain", he he, it's just a song.
Anyway, Narcissus is a greek mythology wherein he always looks at himself in the water until he fell down and drowned, hence a flower named Narcissus, a flower that is bending, facing towards the water.
My point is whether it's your looks, your body figure, your talent, it's always good to be humble. But regarding good looks, it's also important to spend time on the mirror in order to make yourself pleasing to others, not just watch the mirror to admire yourself.

If you are using your looks as an investment like actresses who undergo surgery for the sake of beauty, I don't think it is really bad but it should be done with certain limitations. HOwever, as much as possible we must appreciate what God gave us.
