Where do you get your hair cut?

I always get my hair cut at a salon. I do not trust places like Super Cuts or MasterCuts. I sometimes but hair care products there if I run out. I don't trust their hairdressers. I know it is only hair and if they mess it up it will grow out but still. I envy those who know how to cut their own hair. It's definitely cheaper that way as well. So where do you go to get your hair cut?

I haven't paid for a haircut since 2002. lol I started cosmetology school in 2003, so I always got my hair cut in school. More often than not, it was a bad haircut, but we had fun anyway. :) My hair is a pain to cut, and it's always been hard for anyone to do. I did have a good friend in cosmetology school that finally got the hang of it, but then she moved away. So my best friend from there cut it for me all the time (she did a decent job, but not as good as the other girl) until I moved away. I've been up here for 2 years, and have only had my hair cut twice. It was terrible when I got it done here (by someone I worked with, no less), so I waited until I went home again and had my friend fix it. And that's it. It's in desperate need of a cut right now. I'm going home next month, though, so my friend will cut it for me again.

At least it's only hair. It will grow back out and you can start all over again. hehe I have very straight hair. My hair dresser always said I had fine hair but lots of it. hehe Nothing requiring thinning out since it's fine. She hates blow-drying my hair. It's like a spnge and retains a lot of water. Usually tkae like 10-15 minutes to dry, depending. lol

1 of my neighbors works in a salon and whenever any one in my household needs a hair cut all we have to do is ask her. We always offer to pay her but she always refuses.

That would be great. You're very lucky. That's when I would just stash money where she would find it. I'd attach a little note to it saying "I told you that you'd get the money!" lol

I go to a hairdresser's that is in a mall next to my house. They're open most of the day and i like the way they do it, even though they're more expensive than most other hairdressers around. Anyway it's so close that i cannot be bothered to drive to town.

I do not think price matters as much, within reason, when you like the way they do it. Plus them being located so close to you is an added bonus.

I rarely get my hair cut at the same place twice. There's plenty of salons in my area; I just randomly walk into one that looks nice. When I was a kid, my mom would cut my hair (yes, the infamous 'bowl cut'). Otherwise, I used to go to my neighbor's, a professional hair stylist. Now I just go to random salons wherever I am, as long as I happen to have the time and money on me for a haircut.

That's cool. I usually like to stick to the same person. Maybe it's just because you build a relationship with them. My hairdresser up at home, I could trust her to do whatever she wanted and I always loved it. I cannot say that about a lot of places. hehe

That's really cool! That also comes in handy when it is right there.

I have always had my hair done by a mobile hair dresser. I may have to go into my mums friends salon to have my hair dyed ((mainly because i get it for free)) because the mobile hair dresser wont do my colouring but i dont like salons because i went to one once and they ended up cutting my ear and i now have a nasty little scar on my ear where they did it and wouldnt refund us!

I cannot believe they cut your ear! Wow. Did they even apologize for it, at least? I cannot believe that they didn't compensate you for it somehow. I do not blame you. I'd never go back after that either.
