Spinoff/Private Practice

This makes sense. In the UK, they are showing Greys Anatomy in double episodes. This is usually a sign that a promising new show is fading quickly after the first series. The second sign that they need to cut the budget, and wish to rehash the same story lines in a fresh way, is the spin-off. Spin-offs rarely have any success (Frasier is the exception that proves the rule). I suppose this means the DVDs will be on sale very soon.

I thought that Addison's trip to LA was refreshing and a good step from her dragging around the hospital stringing on two guys. I just don't feel it would make it as a whole new series. Guess we will see. It won't be something that I will watch as I am lucky to be able to watch Grey's with my time schedule.

i haven't heard any talks of anyone else joining her. I think her storyline ran out on grey's so they decided to try to make more money with a spin off for her.

I think others may be leaving, but not to join her. I think she's the only one. I"m not sure if I'm going to like it. I like Addison, but the pilot they did was a little hokey. But I'll give it a try at least.

I think it will be a good show. I liked what I saw of the hour that they showed. Plus I love Taye Diggs!!! Although his shows don't seem to do too well.

Only Addison will be in the new show, it doesn't make sense if anyone else goes with her because what will they be doing all the way in California? I love Addy and will watch Private Practice for awhile, but I doubt I'll stick to it. I didn't really care about any of the characters besides her.

I've been seeing commercials for it too. I haven't heard about anybody else leaving Grey's for the new show, just Addison. It'll be interesting to see if they new show is as well received as Grey's has been? I think alot of people are willing to give it a chance because they like Addison on Grey's. I'll probably watch it. I'm doubtful I'll get into it as much as I have Grey's, but I guess we'll see?

This show looks pretty good, but Seattle Grace seems to be in a turmoil with Burke leaving Christina and George not passing his exam. Maybe Burke will move on to Private Practice.

I too don't see any of the other characters following her there. I didn't like the episode with her escape there. It bored me and I don't see the spin off doing well. Too bad, because I really like Addison's character and wish they would expand on her on Grey's Anatomy.

i didn't care for the pilot of Private Practice. Maybe cause i was so use to seeing Addison on Grey's Anatomy. Private Practice just didn't appeal to me.

i felt really sad when i found out that she'd be leaving grey's for this spin-off thingie... i really like addison and for her sake i hope that private practice does well. but based on the special preview from grey's , i didn't really care much about the other characters. i don't know if other people would buy this new story plot, but i am not sure if i will. it wasn't really impressive (even with taye diggs). but i still love addie, and for her i'll try to keep an open mind about this one.

I hope that none of the other character will be leaving grey's.I don't believe that any of the other characters would fit into the type of practice that they a describing it cali. Not that you asked but I don't think that The Practice is going to do very well. Addison was a good character but not good enough to make a spin off of her. Now if they wanted to do something with the burke character I think that would work and he could still be on grey's occasionally. The fact that they are setting it in cali makes it almost immpossible for them to let her guest star in grey's very often.
