What is your favorite vegetable?

I also adore fresh broccolli steamed in a tiny bit of water, served up fresh from the local farm where my partner pulls it up from the earth when he is working there! He then comes home and when I am relaxed and have had a few drinks and its about 8 pm, he makes me a cheese sauce from scratch that cannot be rivalled. In our little kitchen he concocts a sauce of wonder. It contains fresh milk and huge amounts of cheese, herbs, salt, pepper, some chillie etc ..I cannot begin to explain or talk about it, except to say I have often licked the bowl clean. This unctuous sauce he throws over the steaming hot broccolli and invites me to dig in. I need no seond invite.. :}
