What do you do with the ends of the loaf of bread.. commonly called heels?

Wow, that is really weird, and cool that your cats eat that kind of food. My cat is a snob and will not even drink milk. The only people food she eats is Tuna. Once in a while she will eat a little rice or egg mixed in her food - but that's rare too.
I give the heel to the ducks in the lake behind my townhome.

hi! i dont really eat that part of the bread because i dont like it so i just save it to give to the dogs. :) my dogs also like people food so they really appreciate it when i give them those kind of foods. :)

It depends what kind of bread they are from. If they are from a Scottish plain loaf then i toast them and eat them, if their just from normal bread the birds get them.

I grew up in a family where everyone loved the crust. The first to open the bread packet gets to eat the crust or ends of the bread loaf, our older brother always bullied his way into getting them most of the time... Now I have children and a husband, they dont care for the crust at all, so I get to eat the crust on my own, without a fight LOL...
