Today we celebrate the day of our alphabet and culture. It`s national holliday for all of us, but especially for students, teachers, people who are connected with culture. In the past the students had a parad with several gym compositions, songs, declamations and etc.
Do your country celebrate a special holiday of the culture and how?:-)

That sounds like a really fun holiday. I guess in the U.S. we all come from so many different cultures that we can't really have a holiday like that. The closet we have would probably be Independence Day which is July 4. We have parades and fireworks that day.

yeah...we celebrate Linggo ng Wika during August or October I guess...we have some cultural activities like national game tourneys, declamation, national dance competition, poetry countest and the likes. I was once one of the contestant in an oral extemporaneous speech...and I only got 2nd place...anyways, Linggo ng Wika a week long celebration of the Filipino Language and Culture...
