What do you think about the way users rate you?

If noticed alot of new discussions about "my star rating is dropping".Reading into them i've seen that alot of mylot users are shocked that they're star rating is going down. Do they expect it to stay up all the time? I wonder if this is just a result of the wars that i've also been hearing about, are users intentionally rating us bad? Do they simply not agree with our opinions? Its definately got alot of mylot users worried and frantic. I'm wonder why users are rating us lower than usual, why are the ratings suddenly going down? I was just looking at mine today, and normally I don't even pay attention; however mine dropped. I was starteld to see that, but unmoved at the least. I really don't care about my rating, if I was here to make a everyone happy I wouldn't have joined at all. I would simply click and respond the way that user would like me to, as to keep up appearences. However I don't do that, I answer to the best of my knowledge in my own opinion. I don't understand why people ask you a question and then are offended when you actually don't agree or don't think along the lines they do. Its ridiculous, these people. Reading these alot lately, that people caring about they're ratings dropping or lowering. I'm just wondering what do you think about your rating, do you get bothered when your rating star drops its rating? Do you think that its ok for users to rate you badly because they are offended by your opinions? Even more a puzzling question, do you think they are rating us badly to get back at us?

Already lordwarwizard and spasticseagal have started this topic, which contains interesting opinions of various mylotians. Like you I too not bothered about my increase or decrease in my star rating, as long I am satisfied with my work here.

One more thing I noticed here is that my points stopped growing. How about yours? Anybody wrote to the moderators to clarify this ? Or do you want me to write.

True I saw lordwarwizards topic, and I was interested in the glich theroy. I think that my topic is similar, but not the exactly. I'm just wondering what others think. I think that lordwarwizard may be right though, this may be a glich or a error. We'll probably find out soon though, with so many ratings dropped I don't think mylot admin will just ignore it.

It has happened to alot of us overnight.Ratings went down i was a 10 and now an 8 with a rating of 82/100.I think it may be a glitch.If not i dont know whats going on i give my honest opinoin and try to start good discussions.This has never happened everybody's rating just went down overnight.YOu dont see any 9's or10 stars anywhere.The yellow stars are starting to blind my eyes.LOL

oh and no i dont think its fair for people to rate negative unless its offensive.I have to be honest i was actually shocked to see my star today.Alot of us were prolly.

I agree with you that I can't find any 10 stars at all, it sounds like a glich to me. I know that lordwarwizard was discussing about a glich, and possible errors. I think that something is definately going on, maybe mylot is mad at us.

Have you noticed that the earnings didn't update on the nose like they usually do? Mine usually update at 8am et on the nose, and they haven't yet. Are yours this way too?

Why do you think its happening? I noticed that my earnings went down then back up, and that my star rating when way down, and a little bit back up. Do you think there is a connection, what do you think it is?

I have the same problem as you=.= I am a bit sad about it!I used to have 6 ratings but now I dropped to five.Really don't know what's wrong...I think I need to post more and also every post should be longer and quality post.Hope I can have some improvement in these few weeks.Same as you!Hope you can get improved!

I really don't understand the shock and grief users' express over a drop in their ratings. Every day is not a Sunday, and well, what is the actual impact of a drop in user rating ? None. People are too hyper these days and get tense over the most minute developments. Wonder whats wrong with this world. As far as ratings go however, I don't have much experience since I don't even know my own rating :D. Am working my way towards 100 posts.

I don't worry so much about ratings, its really a win lose situation. You can't make everyone happy, so why care what they rate you. I think one simple thing here: Give your opinion, make money. Its worked so far, and I'm going to continue with it. Good luck on your posting, great job so far!

I use the ratings all of the time, if I respond to a discussion then I always + it. There have only been a few times where I have left a neg but never for someone who disagrees with me unless they have been abusive in some way. I've left negs for someone who just copied and pasted someone elses answer, and some one who randomly left a load of rubbish, but that's all.

It was a glitch and made for some interesting discussions. Did you read the one alfieklondyke started about it saying how pleased he was to be getting nearer to 1. Making out that 1 is usually best. It really confused some of the new members. I am glad mine is a top rating but would still be happy with an 8 or 9 - they are pretty colours too. I would be sad if I had a lower rating which would mean I was not doing things correctly or people did not like my comments. I like to be liked and not controversial.
