Tension is the swift medicine to keep sleep away. Headache is limited for myself but few times I waked up from sleep.. it just really example for tension.
Try to remain relax always..
Keep it mind, "Nothing you can change doing tension" so keep it away.
I have a suggestion for you that may help you more from medicine.. "Try to make a habbit of pray". I think permanently your headache will be remove.
I strongly believe if you feel headache.. try to make a pray instantly, I think resault will be appear instantly.
Good wishes to you & allow me to know your update headache condition.

Praying will help with the tension. The reason Gatorade works is not just to fight dehydration, but also because it replaces minerals (electrolytes) in your body. I have tried the gatorade, and it does help. Several years ago, because of some advice and some experimentation, I learned that my headaches would improve when I increased the intake of magnesium. I began taking a magnesium supplement, and eating foods rich in magnesium, like seafood and beans and nuts. Those awful, wake you up at 4:00 am headaches ceased. Magnesium causes your muscles to relax and smooth out, so it would be good for you for tension headaches, and it helps you sleep better as well. Gatorade is a quick way to get magnesium into your system as it is one of the electrolytes. Good luck with your headaches. Prayer certainly will be a help and blessing to you and others as well.

I have once or twice only but it was an awful way to start the day.
Your problem could be from your diet. You could keep a journal of what you eat and see if something you ate triggered it.
Lol, I can't drink anymore before I get the hangover headache before I get drunk.

let me tell you what you should do and it may sound simple but water. drink lot's and lot's of water!! let me tell you i use to get them too. and one doctor said tension one said he didn't know. and then a doctor that i found said, oh you are not getting enough water. and once i started drinking more water, i can't not remember the last time i had a headache

Well, my hubby and I both have had the same problem with waking up and having a headache. Come to find out we both also have sleep apena, although his is more severe than mine. Do you snore? Has anyone ever told you that you stop breathing while you sleep? Either way, it couldn't hurt if your doctor would order you a sleep study...if you have medical insurance that is. I'm sure they're quite costly, but well worth it just to make sure.
Best wishes! :)

yes i still do . from your picture it looks like you have long hair, do you pull it up or back and if you do , do you pull it tight because my doctor told me that , that can cause headaches . also do you grit you teeth at night because i do that as well because i have tmj and it causes my head to hurt really bad . i had one so bad years ago that i could get up out of the bed so my husband took me to the doctor and i had the cat scan done and they found nothing and that's when i went to the dentist and they diagnosed me with tmj. i hope this helps you . God Bless You.

When I wake with a headache it is either a migraine or from allergies. Nine times out of ten it is from allergies. I take a decongestant and my allergy meds and a couple of ibuprofen and prayer it goes away.

Hi disvachic, How are you tonight? I hope that you are feeling better. I have to say that you really need to get an MRI done. If your pressure is not elevated and you are having terrible headaches and nothing that you take for the pain is working, your doctor needs to be more aggressive in finding out what is wrong with you. I wish you the best disvachic...take care of yourself...

I have a couple of friends with the headache problem, and I recently started having them, but the reasons for a headache are so varied. If your doctor still isn't trying to get it together after your next appointment, get to another doctor and get a second opinion. Your doctor should be more than willing to provide a list of other doctors for reference. And if you want the CT scan, get it. Whatever is going on is something that only you and your family are going to have to live with, and you need relief, so don't let anyone tell you you can't get a diagnosis and treatment.

Yeah, mine are a result of my son's incredible lung capacity, so I'm not even stressing over it. Acupressure works amazingly well.

Yep I have this happen alot. But I am pregnant so I attribute it to the extra hormones and what not. I rarely get headaches when I wake up when not pregnant, but for me it seems to happen when I don't sleep well or if I wake up and my neck is really sore like I had my head bent weird. Hope you get better soon!

Yeah, yesterday I woke up with a headache and I knew it has to do with my colds and flu. The cold won't go out and it stucked inside my head so I have to take up a cold reliever and a paracetamol to let it go away. I take that every 4 hours until it subsided.

I rarely wake up with a bad head ache and when I do it is usually caused by stress so what I usually do is take a couple o deep breaths and everything seems to slow down. After that I take a healthy but light breakfast then my head ache starts to fade away.

To relieve tension you have to relieve stress by exercising or drinking fluids such as water or gatorade. At times, I get really bad headaches and its not from a hangover. I use advil to relieve the pain. However, taking advil all the time is not good for my health. I learned to not get stressed out in life and be positive and exercise.
