Hii Friends,Well, when i was new to computer, i was very slow in typing and my typing skills were very poor, and i always look at the keyboard for each and every letter...and now i hardly look at keyboard ...i am very happy that my typing skills are very much improved and i type at a very fast rate...Its a nice feeling.

Good discussion Vani.
I think many of our friends use one finger method to type out their matter, some are very fast I believe, even in one finger method. I know typing and can type at a considerable speed. Congrats to you for typing fast, this way you can post your comments rapidly and in less time.
Best of Luck!
Have a Nice Day!

I have been with mylot since nov and earlier too i used to do data conversion work which is not possible if you have low speed or have to look on the keyboard every now and then. In data conversion you are actually looking at one page on the screen and typing the matter on the other page on the screen so there is no question of looking at the keyboard if you need to accomplish a respectable job.

I do both. I had took a typing class in high school to help me with my typing skill and it has helped a great deal. Every now and then I take a look at the keyboard because sometimes I do forget where some of the letters are at. When I'm typing with both hands on the keyboard I go at a fast right. But most of the times I have my daughter in my hands or on my lap when I'm on the computer, I can only use one hand then.

I have to say that I still type very slowly. Most of the time I have to look at the keyboard before I can type most of the words correctly. I am still trying not to look at the keyboard while typing. Sometimes I can deal with it, sometimes not. Anyway I am making progress bit by bit.

I have completed my Higher Grade in Typewriting and so I can type really very fast without looking into the Keyboard. I learnt it as a hobby some 8 years ago and so its helping me out now... I know the fingers to use for the letters etc., and so I can type very fast without looking into the keyboard.

I don't normally see the keyboard while typing as i have learnt typing from a formal institute and has quite decent speed to type without looking, but i know many of my friends who doesn't know typing and struggle with their keying in in keyboard, some use only one finger (pointing finger) to type all the letters in the key board.

One of the best things I ever did was take a typing class in high school. My mom suggested I take it, I was like no way that's dumb, but I did anyway. I don't look at the keyboard at all, and I know at one time I was typing over 90 words a minute, with a 1% error rate....been a few years since that though lol.

Normally typing texts I donot look on keyboard because it has become a habbit and I can't how many such pages I have type on daily. But in some mathemetical expression or equations I look on keyboard to avoid errors. Looking keyboard considerably reduces typing speed. Practice not even to see it while atleast typing text.

Yes what you said is a good point...even for me as well it happens i look at the keyboard in cases where in i need to deal with mathematical expressions and in such case we need to be a bit careful to avoid mistakes...
Bye and have a nice day ahead...:)
Thanks,
Vani.

I type without looking at keyboard on my own keyboards easily, on others I sometimes need to look since not all keys are the same. I buy US Intl keyboards only, so when there's suddenly weird symbols mixed up and such it makes it a bit complicated.
But I can even just type without watching at my computer screen and simply keep on watching television in example. As time passed by I started doing this better and better as well.
