How often do you call your parents?

Yeah, the technology has really been helpful on this front, webcams & internet chats have made it possible to be in touch with our parents, relatives & friends living far off from our places. I had raised this question, because I felt that we stop communicating with our parents after a point of time. Maybe like all relations this also comes to a standstill, but we can do effort to revive the warmth that we shared when we were younger & the parents too.

I understand what you mean. But our family has made it a point to keep in touch. Even before I was married andwe lived in another country from our relatives, my dad always made it apoint to keep in touch with his mother and siblings (he has quite a big family and so does my mother) through the phone or letters. He made sure we knew our relatives and wrote letters to everyone. I'm glad he did that (which is something my kids miss out on)

Its great that you live with your parents & spend lot of quality time with them. However, I was talking about: (1)People who don't live with their parents and (2) People who live with their parents but hardly talk with them, or discuss their problems with them or share their ideas with them. Instead many people just call up their friends, worst still they call up friends who don't even care for them actually!!
