water is a basic necessity in life. we cannot live without it. it is the second thing to a good fresh air to breathe all the time. actually, the order of need for our survival are the basics which we happen to have called air, water, food, clothing and shelter. with this in mind, my vote easily goes for water. however, if you will let me choose between having running water and electricity, i will surely go for electricity. it is alright to be fetching water for home needs as they used to in the olden times for as long as, there is electricity going for all of us in our homes.

That's an easy question. I would choose water as one can live without electricity, but one CANNOT live without water. Sure it would be hard to live without electricity as I am accustomed to it...after all I have been used to it all my life. But when it comes down to it people don't actually NEED electricity. After all there were plenty of people that lived without it before it was invented, but those same people couldn't live without water, could they?

Hello cherriemae Very difficult answer for me, if I choose water but if there is no electricity we will not get water. I think both are very important in this life, but if we life n wild forest or something we just need water. Maybe I will choose water, because a thousand years ago people don't need electricity to live. But we can get dehydration without water. God bless you *angel www.beautycosmetictips.com

It goes without saying that water is the only choice you have to make when you are faced with these two. Our ancestor lived for generations without electricity but no one can ever live without water for a few days without water.

a reservoir - The reservoir in the highland near my place.
It gives water to my region.
If I were confronted with the choice of survival I would rather choose water as it is essential for life. If it doesn’t that drastic as in ordinary daily life a temporary shortage of water could be of small matter. I can always get water from other means like from bottled drinks and other sources outside. If there is no electricity it will be very serious in this modern world as all electrical devices can’t function and all the activities involving use of electricity will come to a stand still. This of course includes myloting. Imagine how serious it is!

Definitely water!I lived without both back when we got hit by Hurricane Juan for almost 2 weeks and as much as I hated not having power,I hated not having water more....I could handle eating sandwiches for the time but I couldn't handle not being able to clean my house.....I mean I cleaned but it never felt that way without water to wash with....

I would certainly find it hell to live without electricity and move back to dark ages but I would still choose water. Because as you said we cannot live water and we could certainly live without electricity...but what an uncomfortable world that would be.

people were able to live without electricity for thousands of years but no humans were able to live without water, we have the luxury to open a tab and get water but if we have to carry it and walk for miles everyday like what some people in some parts of the world still do we would not be thinking about computers and internet, tv, etc. When basic things like water is hard to get we would not really enjoy anything else.

Well, if it was a choice of either electricity or water, it would have to be water because as you way, we cannot live without it. Whilst electricity is a useful commodity to help us to see in the dark, keep warm or cool, cook or use our household appliances and computers, if we didn't have it, I guess we would just have to do what nature intended when it became dark and go to sleep. :-)

Water, so I can at least take showers and have something to drink and wash the kids and what not. It would stink without electricity, but water is more important. Maybe I could get a battery run heater for winter, if they make such a thing, because that would be really cold with no heat.

You'd have to have cold showers though coz you need electricity to heat the cold water in the hot water service!

If I need to choose from electricity and water then I will choose water because even electricity is manufactured by water.Water is our essensial need to live a life.If there is no water there is no life. How could we imagine a life without water?

Water versus electricity? Of course water, water is one of the basic necessity. Plants, animals, us and other living creature needs water. Water can also be a source of electricity but electricity can't be a source of water.

it is really very difficult for me choose between one from electricity and water, i would choose water but it is really difficult to live without electricity these days as the computer runs on electricity and many other things like tv, fridge, freezer, ac, fans, lights and many other also run on electricity
