Some people are so DUMB!

Lol, please don't take this the wrong way. It certainly gave me and my partner a good laugh. Yesterday, we bought a little table top charcoal grill. I've wanted one for ever, but the area we live in is known for being a little bit rough. Stealing, in particular, is an issue, and so we wanted something that we could bring indoors once it's cooled down. So, we buy the grill, and set it up, and start grilling. Whilst we were grilling, my partner brought out a chair for the plates. Now, this chair is what we used to use for the PC desk, and it's falling apart, to the extent that it wouldn't support anyone's weight. It's not even worthy of being junk. After we had dinner, we headed indoors, closed the glass door and the curtains and watched a little bit of television. Later in the evening, we had to head out, and so, I figure okay, I'll bring the grill and everything in from outside. I go outside, and there's the grill, and everything we used, such as charcoal, lighter fluid, utensils - but no chair. Some idiot had stolen the chair! With everything out there, it would have made far more sense to steal the grill and the accessories we bought to go with it, but no, they stole the one thing we've been meaning to get rid of because there was no further use for it LOL. Telling my partner was awesome. The look on his face was priceless. We can't get over how DUMB some people can be, but at the same time, we would like to thank whoever took the chair off our hands. They did us a huge favor LOL.

OH!! That's toooooo funny!!!! We were selling an ATV and put it out on the side of the road - along with some other peoples things, everyone does it on this corner. After a couple days it dissappeared!!! Now we want to get rid of a cap for a truck we no longer own and are going to put it out there with a sign - "Just steal me too"! It'll probably sit there for years...

Lol, it was still light, and so they can't have failed to notice the state of it. Not only that, the grill was cold already too. Maybe they didn't want to run the risk of burning their hands, and so just didn't take the chance. Most people round these parts aren't professionals lol, they just don't have any common sense. Come to think of it, maybe thats the problem ... :P

I don't know why someone would steal an old chair. But that story is funny. Better check around the house. Whoever stole it might have used it to get into a window and rob you blind...lol. I hope not, but it sounds like you live in a place where what is yours is also free game for everyone else.

Lol, we live on the ground floor so they wouldn't need the chair :P However, with our windows, they'd stand no chance. At the top is an old fashioned lock, that allows us to have the window open without danger of the kids climbing out. To reach that lock, we need the chair LOL.

Are you sure the chair didn't get burned into ashes by mistake or something? :P Anyway, it's crappy that you are living in such a "precarious" neighborhood. Thieves! Yucks! Shame of them!!

Lol, I'm positive the chair didn't get burned to ashes. We used it for the plates, not the Grill :P Honestly, this is the first time we've had anything stolen, and we've never had any other problems while we've been here, apart from the stupid dumb ladies in the office about our kitchen sink :o) I just find it totally amusing how they took the one useless thing.

Maybe the thief just thought to be nice and leave you the more expensive things. Or he just needed a chair. :P

Oh that story is fantastic...hey maybe they thought the chair was a priceless antique or something worthy of Sotheby's--LOL--but hey, they did you a favor now? Didn't they?

Oh yes Pyewacket LOL. Definitely worthy of Sotheby's - garbage can LOL. They certainly did us a favor though lol, and my partner and I are still in a state of shock about it. Every time I mention it he starts off giggling and then we end up laughing uproariously about it LOL.

Oh, it definitely takes guts, but see thats the thing. Our curtains were closed to keep out the sun because it shines onto the television. We couldn't see out, and they couldn't see in. It just astounds me that they took the chair and not the grill. The only thing I can think is that maybe they saw us using it beforehand and decided that it might still be too hot for them to handle. After all, a burn from a grill is a nasty burn.

That is just hilarious! They must have needed a chair really bad! LOL! I'm thinking, you can wrap some of your trash up at Christmas time in wrapping paper and set it on the porch and see who will take it for you.

Oh my! I can imagine the look on your partners face. I can also imagine the reaction when the thief realised what he'd stolen. I'm still laughing.

that is really funny, the theives, burgulars are always fools because they are fools that is why they steal things and they have proved that they are fools but i think that you should thank God for making him such fool, and you should thank that person who took the chair instead of the other things
