is it fair to use myLot as a source of generating money. Are most o the people doing dicussions on mylot to make money. Is it a good practice, is it going against the rules and policies of mylot. i there any method to keep a check on this. i personally feel that discussions which are started just to make money loose the interest and the basic fun of doing discussion or saring of views. what u people think. please share your views on this but please oonly serious people should answer this thread. Thanks and havve a great weekend.

for most of us who have been here a while, the money we can earn on mylot is simply a bonus rather than the reason we are here. OK, I accept it is the fact that the site pays that first brings us here but after a while when you engage with the site you hardly notice it
blessed be

why not earning mylot is good? it enabled me to spend a few dollars for my special needs and im really thankfull that mylot is here...if it wasnt here i wonder how could we earn easy money while we are having fun here...although i am preety much bored of stupid discussions of mylot. and it feels there are a very few geeks are here so whenever i start out something about technology i get few to no responses!

Unfortunately you are right. Many people register here just because of money. And because of the free place for promoting their programmes. The problem is that MyLot`s admins are too tolerant. They have done this section MakeExtraMoney and if i am honest, i dont see so much benefits from it. Flood of "discussions" about one and the same sites...
I am here to discuss and the money are also important stimul for my activity. But i respect myself and respect other members too.

Actually mylot doesn't make up the interest sections. The members do. If you want to you can create any interest you want. Go in there and add in "wljff;po" and it will be added. So that wasn't mylots doing. Also if members read the guidelines they would see that posting referral links in discussions is against them. We have to blame that on the members not mylot itself.

For me it is and at the same time, I like making posts here on mylot. Everyone has different reasons as to why they are here on Mylot. Be it for the enjoyment of sharing ideas and expression, or just for the money. I don't think it's a bad practice for trying to earn. Mylot is not against that. The thing that isn't good is if you break the rules or violate any terms. Sure there are those that are here to earn, but then there is also flooding. Very mylot users just make 1 or 2 words and post a lot of discussions because they think they can earn money. This is usually among new comers too. Mylot said that quality is more important rather than the quality.
So I don't think that it's going against mylot policies if anyone is here to make money.

We don't make that much from starting a discussion and if people didn't start discussions none of us would have anything to respond to. I don't see a problem with earning money by starting discussions, after all they don't count until people respond to them. This should in theory keep the junk posts from earning any money. I happen to enjoy mylot but one of the reasons I am so active is to earn money. I do not work outside the house and whatever I can earn on line is all I get. So I like what I earn on here, however I don't abuse making up posts either like some do. The ones I see making up twenty or thirty all in ten or fifteen minutes.

Same here. I only start ones that I think are interesting and that I haven't seen before. I don't make up ones just to earn money but usually to find out if others are interested or similar.

Responding to other's discussions generates money as well, because it generates activity on the site. I generally only start a discussion when I really got something to say. Otherwise, I spend my MyLot time responding to other's discussions.

Few months ago, when I joined mylot, this was my main reason "earn money". Way back then, I post discussions just like this and like that. I really never expand or share the ideas I was having on my mind and doesn't ponder much for the topics, simply because, I'm in a hurry, hurry for what? hurry for the next discussion Im planning to answer. I was also concern on my points before. But as i've been longer in this site. My perceptions on staying here changed. I enjoy alot in here. gained Friends. exchanging of ideas to alot of people, and here. I felt acceptance of my thoughts. I love mylot!

I have seen some really lousy discussions started by people over the past week; like basic stuff...things that are not even really conversations, as you mentioned. And, I think those are the people who are just trying to make a buck. The main point of this site is to get people engaged in talking to each other. The more conversations you start or participate in, the more discussions there will be. And, yes, ultimately you will earn money from some of it. But, if you don't really like talking or chatting online, then you may not find it much fun. However, for the most part, the conversations are very fun to be part of. I wake up thinking about what I'll find on this site, and I go to bed thinking about it. Needless to say, it's a fun place to hang out. And, I'm not leaving over a few bad apples. Thanks for the insightful question.

This is what I see to some of the members now, I don't know but maybe it is because there are lots of users now since I started being a mylot a member. It was different then, we often see discussion repeatitions and most are of good quality and well-written.
As for me, I don't post or start my own discussions alot. I am good in responding and sharing my thoughts to others, help some who seeks it and provide some tips to enjoy mylot. So I am most likely for the quality, interactions and contributing more on discussions. The money is not that good, so I don't rely on that on how much I would earn for a day!;)

I have been earning online for about 3 or 4 years. I was referred to Mylot for earnings. I did not know it would be alot of fun and I would meet so many great freinds here from all over the world. I enjoy the discussions and I am very greatful for the earnings as well. I love to help my friends and reply to some topics at hand here besides the earnings.

ya its fair to use mylot as a source of generating noney. And of course most of the people doing discussions on the mylot to make money. But it does not mean that they are doing so only for money. they also share their their feelings. Yes it is a good practise. And it is not against the rules bcoz mylot wants to grow its community and they are paying for discussions only. so why do you think that that it is against the rules?

I have to admit, the money offer was why I first tried myLot, but as the days go by I've gotten involved in discussions and have made friends and met so many people that it's become a social addiction. I'm not going to get rich quick doing this at a few cents a day so I just see the money as a bonus to meeting and talking with others.

I think its true that most people (like myself) are primarily tempted to join due to monetary reasons but ive been here a few days and honestly i have forgotten about the money part. The discussions are more important to me and some topics are entertaining. It helps me talk to other people and see the viewpoint of others on certain topics. Its also good to get information as we have people from different parts of the world that are able to give us better insight into stuff so in that sense the money is just a compensation for opinion!

I don't think there's anything wrong with using myLot to make money because let's face it - no matter how much we might enjoy using myLot anyway the money is a nice bonus! So if a persons primary reason for being on myLot is to make money then I think that's ok as long as they are contributing something worthwhile to the forum in the process.
If you are talking about promoting other referral programs etc then I think that's a different matter and I think it is against myLot rules to do so although you can of course promote stuff in your profile. It's pretty tedious seeing all these posts which have been started for no other reason than to try to get people to sign up under the posters referral link.

Well i do think that using mylot to discuss matter to generate money won't harm .After all each person who earn from mylot isn't much but the total amount that mylot pay each month is high . But having a lot of members and regular people posting will help mylot to find sponsors for us yea . The big companies want our ideas and want to know what we want .

MyLot is quality controlled by it's users. In order to make max amount of money, you have to write max amount of quality to the best of your ability. If you are having fun, that helps with your quality. The money is just a honey pot. It pulls folks into the community. Many become addicts like you and to heck with the cash.
I am a blog fiend myself, I belong to several online communities. MyLot is the only money generator in the lot. That doesn't mean I devote more time to it than the other communities. It just means I get a little corporate honey for doing what I like to do anyway.

I don't think the fact that making money from MyLot is a bad thing. I think it is a good way to get a lot of people to join and become part of the community. Once you start posting here and make friends you do not really always consider the money aspect.
My two cents,
cheers

I am only new to this but from some of the questions I have read, there does seem to be a very genuine element to this discussion forum. Some people really seem to need to discuss their issue and hear others responses. No doubt, there will always be people who can only see $symbols attached to everything they do but we must be fair and allow everyone to contribute - genuine or not.
