Does your mylot friends help you to stay motivated here?

Some of my friends may notice that I'm not posting any discussion lately. The last thread I posted was a week ago. Nevertheless, I still continue to log in to respond to their discussions. I owed them that much. A few days ago, I had informed some friends that I needed to take a break. I only allowed myself an hour to check my emails and do mylotting. I apologize if I wasn't able to respond to all of your discussions. I know that its normal to experience some set-back from time to time. I am still here because of the continuous emails and PM I've been receiving from mylot's friends. I like to know what motivated you to stay at mylot? Does your friends play an important role in helping you to hang on? Have you ever felt out of touch with mylot? Or is the money you earned here the only reason that inspired you to keep mylotting? Do share your thoughts.

I am not sure if I am motivated to stay at myLot. I just pretend everything is fine and nothing is happening - so I continue what I have been to do, day in day out, for about 3 months already. Sure I have great friends here but they don't actively motivate me - not unless I post something to say I need motivation. This is the same as real life - you don't keep motivating someone actively unless you figure he needs some help. Just bump around, baby. Take a break when you have to and hop back any time you like. ;-)

Basically I have found that I have been starting to develop good friends here. Also, I have received some very good advice from the friends I have made. The money really does not enter into the equation too much as it is so miniscule anyways. Maybe if I start going the referral route it will become an issue, but it is not now. cheers,

I know what you mean. As you go on mylotting, the friends you gained are too priceless. I didn't expect to have my online friends showing their support and concern to me.

I am still here, dearie. Besides, you know where to look for me. I just needed a little break and I promise to be back in good shape again. The evening primrose oil I'm regularly taking is helping me a lot. You know what I'm talking about. I promise I won't leave this site.

With the number of posts you have, I thought you must have at least reached your $100 payout by now. I have already reach that much but money is not really what I'm here for. I have my own personal work which serve as my daily source of income.

well if you reached 100 dollars then you must have great referrals that are posting a lot my referrals do not post, so I do it all on my own. I probably will not make it until July as I do work more now outside of my lot and that work must come first it is my livelihood.

Believe it or not, winterose, I only have one referral and she is not doing anything at all. I work alone but I was real active before. Presently, I'm earning a few cents only.

As of the last 3 weeks or so I have been disgusted with myLot and the members in general. Not any one in particular just the style, quality and the sense of the discussions. I have gotten tired of the points and cash lost also. It's now hitting me also. So I also have not been doing as much as usual the past few days. My friends here always tell me they;d miss me and my discussions and humor if I was tio leave. So yes I'd say my friends here definitely motivate me to stick around etc. As of late it's been the cash that is my main factor for being here due to the garbage I've seen posted. So I do a lot of news responding and photo uploading as opposed to starting discussions. I'm done babbling on. Thanks. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

LOL, grandpa. I, for one, will hate to see you leaving as well. I have lost a few friends already and I can't accept to lost another one here. I've been using some of your spaces to rant and whine and you were gracious enough to let me. I am grateful for your kindness. Lets take 100 deep breathes together and be on our ground again. I will be back next week and spend more time here at mylot.

I noticed you weren't posting your own discussions, but you sure have stayed loyal in responding to others discussions. I assumed you were very busy. : ) The money doesn't keep me motivated. I mean, once every other month I get enough money for a tank of gas, and I am grateful. Money is so tight it isn't funny. But what keeps me motivated, is that even though often I feel there aren't discussions I care about, I know there are at least a couple users that I don't want to miss what they have to say. For instance, you and SheilaLee. I value what you both have to say, and there are a couple others that I feel that way about. So it is worth it to me just to check out what is going on with you guys.

There are some days when you see the discussions and feel that you are living in a different world from the posters. I think it is just the way it is. Some days we will feel connected and some days we won't. For me, mylots is still something I like to do several times a week. The money is not keeping me here, as I don't get that much. I was busier at work this past month, so didn't even make the minimum. I just like reading the discussions. They tend to make you think.

My friends on here are is the main reason why I come here. I want to be able to support them, and support me as well. It can be difficult when you have friends that don't s upport you. I know that I try to respond to at least one of my friends topics, and most of my friends do the same. I have some though, where they post after post, and it is all about them, but they NEVER get their heads out of the sand to think about any of their other friends, and respond to them. Those friends aren't really friends. They don't care about responding to someone, unless it is the "only" topic they can talk about. But friends like you, mean a lot and keep me going. It is a good support system for me overall.

As for me , I just do not rely entirely upon my friends over here . I have always tried to post only topics that are worthy of being discussed ...... to this, I would not compromise ... not even for the couple of extra dollars I might amass./

You are more active than me in posting discussions. I can only post one thread per day. This past week has been the longest one for me without posting any thread at all. I will give myself a few days of recharging myself and I'll be back to flood your emails with my threads, LOL!

Hello,charms88,honestly i can tell you money is not the first thing that motivate me as I will not have much difference whether i can earn ten dollars or so every month in mylot or not. I just like you,as i will have heaps of emails messages everyday, all from mylot,it seems that at least i have to read some and reply to them, that make me stay active and keep mylotting when I have time.

Charms, it is true never to speak of the devil. Was just wondering earlier if you are busy with your personal plans and not posting any discussions, and lol. here you are. I am motivated here because it provides a platform for me to speak my mind whether people like it or not. It is sort of a training to me to force my mind to think of ways to answer creatively while not offending people. It allows me to feel that I am doing something worthy for the society, in myLot, whether friends or not friends.

yes I think friends online also plays an important role to get you motivated on something. Like here in mylot, if you don't have friends here, then it will be such a boring mylot life right? he he I have felt out of touch with mylot for three days last month because my internet connection had a problem then and I can't help myself but to seek mylot again and again, sounds addicted huh? ha ha but I really miss my friend's answer, their thoughts, my responding time.. etc. :)

It is a blessing you have returned - Glad that you have found MyLot again.
Glad you are back so that I can be a 'good friend' and reply to one of your discussions. I was beginning to think it was something I said (or had eaten) that was driving everybody away shortly after I joined. I feel I missed all the fun. MyLot has been great for me though. I have found lots of wonderful members with similar views to my own - I thought I was alone. I like helping people with advice that I did not realise I had before joining here and making money too. I feel it couldn't be better - shame that apparently it used to be! Photo expresses my feelings on your being back (without the 7 and the .com) not a promotion for the program. I hope you don't mind.

Of course the little extra money one can get here is a nice added bonus, but I prefer coming here to see all my friends here...honestly I sometimes feel more connected to the people I know here than the ones I know one-hundred percent personally--although I have to admit, I think perhaps some of my MyLotter friends know MORE about me than my friends...I think a lot of us are more apt to reveal certain things about ourselves than we would normally. I get concerned sometimes when I don't see my friends about for really long periods--like a few months of time and I think they've gone awol or something...I come here daily....actually I think at times I spend a bit TOO much time here...LOL--I was having a contest with a fellow MyLotter--she was many points over me...Hehehe...we sort of made it a contest who could out do the other..hehehe --I won! And if she's reading this she knows who she is!! Haha

It seems that many of us are actually here because of friends. I have seen people post discussions that they were leaving MyLot for one reason or another, but they ended up coming back because of the friends made here. Some do vanish mysteriously, & then make a come-back. I originally came with a group of friends that includes my upline, & recently, joined another batch of friends at another site. Anyway, at times, real life does seem to interfere with our internet life, but we almost always prevail, & make it back to MyLot with a new discussion from our real life experiences. Money is indeed a factor to return, but it's usually the friends that I find myself coming back to.

Sometimes, it is chancy when accepting a friend. They may send spam via messages or dump it onto your comments section. I have this one friend who leaves spam comments in his friends' profiles, but we have known each other since 2001 from when I was one of the site admins. Even though I was labeled "the most understanding", he was probably afraid to try knowing how I'd cause a serious disaster for him. It's not that we're enemies. We got along great, & he is actually an all-right guy.

Hello Charms, Yes, I had noticed your absence, and was hoping that it was due to a long, enjoyable vacation, or a particularly large feast of garden veggies. I'm glad you hopped back in to say "Hello". I'll be honest about the MyLot thing, I really could care less about the payout. In fact, I've yet to take a single pay-out. I just keep letting it accumulate, with narry a thought. I keep coming back because of some truly fine people that I've connected with here, you among them. I enjoy the discussions, and the comraderie of people from all around the world, as we explore all sorts of issues. So, do my MyLot friends play an important rold in helping me hang on? You bet! If I didn't feel a connection with folks here, I wouldn't waste my time. Whatever is going on for you, I do hope that you realize that you are appreciated!

Good morning Charms, Nope, I definitely didn't receive the pm. I would have gotten back to you to let you know that, in recognition of how busy a bunny you've been here, a break is very well deserved. Hey, we're all tied up in other 'life' matters, in one way or another. It'll be nice, to see you -- whenever you can chime in. My garden is starting to take off very nicely, so I'll make sure to save some fresh greens and maybe a carrot or two for you. Enjoy your weekend!

Hello luna. I also have my earnings accumulated and didn't care about how much I earned for each day anymore. I had PM you last week about my decision to lay low for a while. I was very surprised when only 10 friends received it. I apologize for not responding to your recent discussions too. I promise to check back as I saw one topic of yours that catches my eyes.

I am still here and hopefully I will regain my motivation again. Will you PM me your email add? We can still stay in touch.

I don't post very many discussions either but I instead respond back to other members who respond to my old discussions that I have posted. I also spend alot of time responding back to my friends discussions they start every day also. My Mylot friends do keep me very motivated to keep responding every day. Alot of them have very good discussions to relate to. I also stay motivated each day to earn online. Some days I feel out of touch with Mylot but I keep on trying my best with them. I like all of my friends at Mylot but I also have to earn online each day too. I have been doing that for about 3-4 years.

If it weren't for friends like you, and some others I think I would have hardly any motivation at all, as when I write I always wonder if my usual mylot friend replyers will reply and what they will say. I've felt a bit unmotivated at times, especially when I get 0 responses, but I keep going as I know that my friend mylotters will write something I can reply to and maybe my next post will have better luck and my friends will be able to reply to it as last time they might not have known what to reply to it or even didn't have time at the time of the post. I think the money is a strong reason keeping me here, but I also think it wouldn't be strong enough at this stage if it weren't for my friends like you here! Please don't give up here. I like your opinions... (;

Yes I have a lot of no replies still, but don't worry about it, it'd a headache to find them amongst the others d: I'm sorry that someone was bad to you, people are just like that, they are programed to be good but also have big amounts of bad in them. Don't feel discouraged, just look away and keep walking, don't let them mess with your head! I have had stuff like that happen to me a lot, and I try to keep going or I feel they win.
