Government or private jobs

I personal prefer government jobs. It seems they have better benefits, especially retirement. Plus, they tend to abide by the rules more so then private companies when it comes to certain situations....like hiring practices lol. The downside, they tend to be more towards affirmative action when promoting, which I don't agree with at all. I believe the best applicant should be promoted as opposed to filling a minority quota.
