yeah, i know its bad to relive bad memories but i am just curious.
you see, i have been stolen of my cellphone once. :( i think my bag was open when i was walking on the street on my way to school and when i arrived at school, my cellphone was already gone! i really cried a lot the whole afternoon, until my parenst picked me up at school. i was still 14 years old that time and i really felt bad. :(
what about you? has your cellphone ever been stolen?

Not exactly stolen, but someone did use my phone.
I lost it on the train once when I was still commuting to work, and I know that someone found it and used it to make a lot of calls to places that I didn't know. I really didn't get the whole story of exactly where they called until I found that there were a lot of calls made to numbers that I didn't know. It was okay, though, cause they made the calls the day they found it, on a Saturday. My weekend minutes took care of them. I canceled that phone that night, so it was okay.
Meanwhile, I don't know what I would do if I had gotten a phone stolen though... that's a tough situation.

hello there my friend. yes, i agree, things like that really brings sadness and pain to us. we really dont want our cellphones to be lost or stolen but what can we do? at least we have the experience and now we are more alert and wise to take care of our properties. :)

Good for me because I have not experienced it yet until now and hopefully would not be soon.
I'm sure it does not feel good when it happened to you. When I was working with my previous company, I always feel afraid when I'm on my way home from work. Maybe you've heard that Commonwealth Avenue where one of the dangerous road to take. Most accidents happen and crimes occur inside the public utility vehicles. I always pray to be home safely. We always have to be aware of what is happening around us to avoid untoward incidents like that.
Anyway, it's a lesson to learn my friend.

Yes, it was stolen. It was rather painful to go through the subsequent process: I had to inform the mobile service provider and request for freezing my account, lodge a complaint with the police authorities, take a certified copy of this complaint to the mobile service provider, make a request for a duplicate SIM card, wait for them to reactivate the my account.
I am happy that the old nubmer could be obtained, though. But some of the phone numbers that were stored in the memory of the SIM card could not be retrieved.

hello there. well, sorry for making your memory go back to that bad experience norstar. :P well, at least you were able to retain your old number and the proper consequences were done to your stolen or ost cellphone. :) we must be more alert next time so that it wont happen to us again because it is really not a good experience. :P

Yes, I have been stolen my cell phone once, few years ago.
I was in the club with my friends, dancing and talking, and I was looking for something in my bag, so my bag was open. I looked at my friend because she talked something to me, and then I looked again into my bag, my phone wasn't there:( Fortunately, my money and my purse were still in my bag.
Someone, who took my phone from my bag was quick:/ Clubs are crowded places, it's really hard to find pick-pocket.

well, i know that clubs are really dangeorus places because aside fom its dark ambience and dark lighting, the place is really so crowded and its so easy for the pick-pockets to get what they want from our bag.:P

Thankfully no. :P
I have had my file disfigured when I was a kiddie but not my phone stolen. Thank God!
Try to be careful... but if someone is out to steal your thing, it's not easy to avoid. :(

Oh, take it literally... a file disfigured.
A file.. like one in this picture.
Disfigured - someone used a cutter/penknife and made hideous scratch marks on it that if the file was a real human face, it would be disfigured.
I remember seeing the principal at the stairway and complained to her and showed her the file. I still remember how insensitive she was when she scolded me for not looking after my own things - it didn't happen this way. The teacher asked us to leave our bags (and files) at a common area and if anyone should be blamed, it is definitely not me.
Can't remember when it happened. Maybe in grade 3 or 4. Just a wee kiddie bullied by the principal. *sniff*

hmm, may i ask what you actually and exactly mean when you say that you had your file disfigured? i cant really get it. lolz. :P
anyway, its good for you that you had no experience of your phone being stolen. at least you are exempt from those kind of bad memories. lolz. but you are right, there's really nothing we can do if someone is really trying to steal something from us, if we try to resist or soemthing, they might end up killing us.
we just have to accept that material things can be boought and found agian, unlike life, once it is lost, it can never be renewed or replaced again. i just hope the people who like to steal can have some conscience. :P

i considered it stolen because when i came back where i left it in a phone booth it wasn't there anymore. i was quite busy that day talking to someone using the phone booth when unknowingly i put my cell on top of the phone itself and forgot all about until the conversation ended. i just went ahead and when i wanted to send a message to someone i started looking for my cellphone. it wasn't in my hand anymore so i returned to the phone booth where i had the call and found no cellphone.

ooh. well, that is one sad story. :( you know, i almost had that same experience. i went to the bathroom to pee and then i placed my phone on top of the stall's wall. then, when i finished peeing, i just went back to my classroom without my cellphone! i forgot to bring it! when i was already seated in the classroom, i wanted to check if someone had sent me messages and that was when i realized that i left my cellphone in the bathroom! i really ran as fast as i could so that i could still retrieve my phone, to make sure that no one would be able to see it or steal it. luckily, my phone was still there. :) whew! thank God! :)

my cellphone not really stolen, I forgot it from the tricycle. But I do ringing my number but the one who picked-up doesnt want to answer it. Hmm... bad coz they have no intention of bringing it back to me. But of course, i admit it that it was my fault. If i just have put an extra effort to be prudent, then it was not lost. Anyway, that was 2 years ago.

oh my! you are one brave girl. well, there are really some snatchers who have "back ups" whenever they are going to steal something. its like they already have a plan of escaping. grr, they are really bad guys. they should be punished by the law.:(
