Update on My Life

As some of you already know I've not been around myLot much the last week. I've had simply put one problem after another and between stress and time restraints I just haven't felt up to it....
A run down is I will be moving shortly. At first was going to be to a much smaller house with no yard or privacy at all and the same price I am paying now. I was not happy about this but need a roof over my head.
Monday I had police at my house, youngest son who just turned 16 did several things over the weekend that have put him in some big trouble... We don't know yet what is going to happen but it could very well mean him spending some time in the Juvenal detention center. We're waiting to hear from the prosecuting attorney right now. He knows he did wrong, is sorry for what he did, and is scared right now - I pray he will learn a lesson from this and turn his life around quick.
Then, I got news from the manager of the company I write for that the e-book I was looking for around $450.00 for the client has not paid for so if I'm lucky I may get the deposit of $300 which is all they've paid but have not seen that money yet. At the same time my rent is due, I don't have the money and am still owed almost $400 for other work I've done for the same company... This company has paid me several thousand dollars over the past year I've worked for them but am very concerned right now about not being able to pay my rent and the money that is owed to me.
Now, my landlord does have a 2 bedroom apartment in a nearby town that is $100 a month cheaper than what I'm paying and I'm going to go look at it tomorrow. It's certainly not what I am looking for as I won't be able to save on gas by walking to church, store, post office, library, and several friends houses but trying to look at the brighter side - it is cheaper and if my son doesn't go to juvy I may be able to save towards something better in the near future.
So, any encouragement, prayers, or good news would be greatly appreciated. I'm going to try to have a yard sale this coming weekend so I don't have so much stuff to move or store with moving to a smaller place so if anyone is in the area of Spring Arbor Michigan next weekend stop in and buy some of my junk :)
blessings to all, I'll be in and out of myLot but have a lot to do this next week.

Good luck. Sounds like you need a little and a few prayers! I'll keep you in mine. Been through a few things like that myself. If your son is a first time offender it might not turn out as bad as you think. Hope for the best! I am also a writer...hmmmmm we have a few things in common! So hope things take a turn for you soon!

Thank you so very much. This is the first time he's been 'charged' with anything but he's for the last couple years pushed everyone to the limit - law, school, and Mom. I've tried to keep a positive attitude through all of this but am actually thinking it might do him some good to spend at least a little time locked up - he thinks he has it so bad now lets see what he thinks then.

Oh--byfaithonly, we all seem to be going through our trials and tributlations--its so frustrating especially since techniquely speaking you have money due to you but they're dragging their feet to pay you--so you're not the only one worrying about paying rent----I'm still holding my breath waiting for some kind of decision about my SSI benefits, and I feel the clock ticking all to fast..and I hate the fact that Monday is a holiday as it's one less day in the week to get anything accomplished or answers.
Of course you have my prayers...that the money due you will come swiftly, that all turns out is well with your son and most important, that you will have the endurance and strength to cope with everything

Oh dear I do so appreciate your prayers, I know the problems you've been going through have not been easy and I am continuing prayers for your situation. Particularly thank you for your prayers for 'strength'. I am so tired right now all I want to do is cry but know there is so very much I need to do...

Ok, that was it - all I needed was a little reminder that it is ok to cry - I am now and know I will feel better after - guess I should say "thank you friend for letting me cry on your shoulder".

Awww change is always hard to accept but usually comes with some sort of blessing in the end, I know things might not look as good as you want them but hopefully you will keep your mind open to new opportunities and horizons for the best that it will bring you. I wish your son the best, hopefully he will learn his lesson and straighten up. Until then, he has you to lean on. Take care.

Amen - I keep telling myself this over and over - there is something better coming I just need to stick this 'rainy weather' out and watch for the sun shine to come.
Actually he's not really 'leaning' on me - he knows he messed up big time and Mom has told him this was going to happen over and over. He's hanging his head around me a lot these days and even cleaned his room today without my asking - even mopped the floor with the hardwood floor cleaner which he had no idea what it was before today.

I really wish everything will be better for you. Cheer up God has a purpose for everything, after the storm there is the calmness of God. I am praying as I post this hoping you find a way to resolve all your problems, and trust in the Lord with all your heart. I hope everything goes well with your Yard sale.

my dear dear faith, I hardly can find a word to write to you...words are not enough when pain and sorrows are concerned..I don't know why troubles come all together but this is what is always happening..oh my GOD,the most important thing of all is your son and I do pray he doesn't need to go to the detention center. It is incredible, it is awful. Guys can do bad things when in bad companies and we are never too careful with them or never safe to say..my son will never do something like this..I am praying for you, of course..praying that your son will understand his lesson and walk the line, praying that you find a suitable house for you and your family, praying that they'll pay what you earned..how can they dare this?? oh my friend, I send you all my love and affection and i am adding nothing more because i don't want to hurt you

Thank you - very true, things do have a way of working out - I just keep telling myself in my life it's always seemed that bad things have come in 3s, I have my 3 out of the way: house, son, work so things should be ok or better for awhile now.

When it rains, it pours, doesn't it? Just remember one thing: You serve a BIG God and He's watching out for you no matter what it feels like now.
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose." (Romans 8:28)
I've found that to be true. We can't see the whole purpose of things, but He can. Trust Him, He knows what He's doing.

You have a lot happening to your life at the moment, difficult & stressful events. You seem to be handling it well. Strong people like us, sometimes end up benefitting from adversity. I think you will be one of those people. Move to this smaller apartment & save some money. Also there will be less to clean & look after, giving you more time for your writing.
Your son.. well, if he gets just a short time in the juvenile place, he may learn a valuable lesson. You can only do so much for your son.
You are in my thoughts.

hello faith.you're in the eye of a storm and my prayers are with you and your family.i can somehow relate to your situation concerning your home because the city government is taking over our house for the past 39 years and we have to look for a house that amounts to what the government would be paying us which very small.the same as yours, we won't be having any sprawling ground and we would be getting a smaller space.i ,for one, don't have sufficient income to get by and i am using my cashflow from my business.when everything was said and done, we know that these are trying times for all of us.God is again polishing us to shine again like diamonds in the rough.though, we know that everything will be alright after the storm and everything will turn out well, the one best prayer for us is for God to make us stronger during these times.Use your name to go on, remember that God is within you and not without,he is always with you and know that he is already answering your prayers.have faith, be FAITH.

Aw faith, I am so sorry, I hope everything turns out ok with your son. My son never got in trouble with the law, but he gave me my share of problems (His assistant principal had me on speed dial on his phone). Now he is in the Navy and doing fine - so don't give up on your son, he will come around.
I know the feeling of not having money and worse yet being owed it.
It sounds like your life has taken a bit of a detour.
I hope all goes better for you..wish there was more I could do but I am here for support should you just need a shoulder to cry on.

My goodness it's like the old say goes if it doesn't rain it pours ! You've had an action packed couple of weeks. I had a brother years ago that couldn't keep his nose clean due to drinking and lord only knows what else and as a big sister I would go and bail him out every time. It took me a long time to clue in it really wasn't doing any good, guess I was a slow learner. I eventually moved provinces and guess what happened then, he didn't have me to bail his butt out and low and behold my little brow did just fine and straightened out. Hopefully you'll find the strength through prayer, friends and family support to do the same thing. I wish you luck in whatever you do. My daughter and I had a yard sale this weekend and we made just shy of 500 hundred dollars between the both of us. So with that said I wish you well there also. Take care.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that God's will be done in your situation. My brother is going through some troubling times, was arrested on Wednesday and had to spend four hours in jail. I went to church that night and had a couple of ladies pray over me as I stood in the gap for my brother. When I went to the hospital that night to meet him where my sister had took him. I told him what I had done, and he asked what time was that, and I told him about 9pm. He said, strange that is about the same time I felt a lightness come about me, and quit banging my head. He had been pacing in cirles and hitting his head against the wall. So I know the power of prayer works, and when two or more come to him in his name, his will be done. So now, I am not sure what to pray for my brother, but I know he still needs my prayers, so I am praying God your will be done. So I will pray in your situation, God's will be done.
My youngest daughter just turned 18 on Thursday, but she had her share of troubles. But I took advantage of the court system and had her placed in a group home at 12 when she ran away where she stayed for six months. And then when she was in 10th grade she got in more trouble and she went to a girls school for about 6 months. But I know all of this happened for a reason. God was growing me. Just like he is growing you. He is pushing you to new levels, and with each new level, comes more devils.
Sorry for such a lengthy response. But I just typed what God put on my heart.
May God bless you abundantly.

I hope things improve for you soon. I would love to visit the Spring Arbor area but I will be moving next weekend. And then moving again a month after that. But I don't know where I will be moving to. I am sure you will work things out for you and your son.

Hi Faith, I'll keep you and your son in my prayers. I know boys around that age always seem to get into trouble (I know I did). I think its how its delt with that makes the difference. I hope that the people that owe you money to get your rent paid on time and I pray that somehow, you'll find an accepable place to live when needed. With gas prices going up, it would probably be nice if you could still walk to where you need to go. It does sound like your landlord is trying to work with you with what he has to offer. I just pray that everything works out for you. Take care, Terry

Hello faith, I have to say that I won't be in the best shape when faced with a situation like yours. Certainly, we need to deal with a lot of changes in our lives. But not this kind of sudden changes.
I can only share with you this brief statement which I read: There is a purpose behind every problem. Refuse to give up. Be patient and persistent. Let the process go on until your endurance is fully developed, and you will find that you have become men of mature character...with no weak spots.

Hello, bifaithonly, things may not happend as smooth as expected,it is life,we always have some hard time, but I believe if you keep positive and hang on until the last moment, everything should be fine. I hope you can sell more stuff in the yardsell and get some extra money in your pocket in case of emergency, you still get more cash on hand.
I will pray for you and hope everything will be fine for you.
Good luck.
