I have had success with finding stuff using dowsing, you just have to be sure you ask very specific questions to get the yes or no answer correct. Think of the item you are looking for and then go to each room and ask if it is in that room. When you get a yes to the room, then be more specific in your questions about where it is. Happy hunting!
