The dining room - it is my favorite room in my home because it is where the family gathers .So many memories of people have of growing up revolve around the dining room . From the beginning of time , human human beings have gathered near the fire where food was being prepared . I feel that the habit never changes although the ambience of the place changes .

My favourite room is my own special library/spare room.
It's not my bedroom (I share that with my partner) but it has a bed in it and all my favourite books and treasures and my altar. I like to sit on the wooden floor and meditate and listen to relaxing music. It's kind of like my personal study. I'm really lucky to have a room of my own like that.

My office. It is my favorite room because it is where I can have peace, and it is where my computer is, lol. Seriously, I do spend most of my time in here. Been here since 1pm yesterday afternoon, lol. It is now 5:32 am hahaha. Yep. It's official. I'm delirious.

I an in same opinion with you. Dining place is the most important place of our house. At this place, I conduct maximum part of my work, at home. Even my Internet set up is also at this place, that I use to communicate with the world! I decided this because, practically we use our dining place for only within total two hours in a day for breakfast, lunch, evening-tea and dinner. The rest hours, this place remains vacant. So by well planning, this place is used to other useful work for at least four hours daily for other personal work. But at the dining time, it must be made off work if felt necessary. Thanks.

Sorry ! I didn't take into account privacy . My emphasis was really on members of the family meeting each other on a regular basis . Thanks .

I feel my bedroom is the most important room in my house as it is where i spend most of my time as i have my computer here and can enjoy posting on mylot with no disturbance and have fun. Besides it is close to kitchen so i can rush to eat snack such as fruit whenever i want. Besides i love to have my space at times as one needs time with oneself, one's privacy to recollect one's thoughts. And besides i love to sleep so yes i enjoy being in my bedroom.

My bedroom is the most important room in our house. Because it is my bestfriend when it comes to room.I love to stay there even the whole day.I listen music,i lay down and think. And sometimes,it is where the place i cry not letting anyone knows what is going through with me.I feel so comfortable and ease.I stay there to compose poems and to write letters to God and my diaries of life.

I wish mine was my kitchen and dining room table. But, I think my den, where I have my computer has become the gathering place. Probably because I spend so much time in here, but my kids come in here when they want to talk and it just seems to be the gathering place.

I feel the same way~! I think the dining room has more sentimental value than any other room! I don't even enjoy my own room that much.. I like hangin' out in my dining room cuz that's where all of us gather and share stories~! =)

Yes I do believe that the dinning room is the most important, my youngest daughter will be 18 in two weeks, when she was 5 years old i got a divorce from her father. I moved back with my parents I had to take a job working second shift and my parents took care of the girls while i was working. they always had dinner at the same time every night and still do. My daughter now want dinner around that time and has to eat at the table she always has. and yes that is where we talk about what has happened throught the day and things she wants to do. Even things I dont want to here. I wouldnt give up those times for anything.
