How are you being affected by the wildfires in north florida and south georgia?

I am about 4 hours away from these fires and the smoke is horrendous! It has been this way for over a week and I am afraid of spending very much time outside. I did not realize that these kinds of fires affected so many people, towns, and communities. We have been fortunate in the past. Pray for cool, steady rain and I pray for all those affected!

I'm not directly affected since I do not live anywhere near the fires, however I feel for the forests and the wildlife and all the people that are being directly affected. No one likes to be threatened with evacuation, or deal with horribly blinding smoke that affects their sight and their allergies. I really hope things begin to work out soon for everyone and everything involved.

Thanks so much. I feel bad for complaining. I can only imagine the affect it has on the people that are there. I am four hours away and it is terrible, but I am praying for all.

I am in south Ga and it was pretty bad last week. The smoke was pretty thick in some places, everyong was advised to stay indoors unless you had to go outside, sporting events were canceled, it was awful! This rain we have been getting is wonderful. It rained all day Saturday, everyone was so happy. Its starting to sprinkle now so hopefully soon it will bring relief to the fires and those brave people fighting them.

Well, you are really closed to them than I am. I guess you have to be careful in case it'll spread as far as to where you are. My heart goes out to those people and I hope they'll be ok somehow.
