If Hillary becomes president, she hints that Bill might become the Secretary General of the UN. Can you imagine Hillary and Bill controlling not only US policy, but the UN? Good grief! Hubby says he'd have to be elected...she can't just appoint him, thank goodness, but he seems to have a lot of popularity in the world. What a scary thought!

The UN has become nothing more than a slimy bunch of elitists who celebrate corruption, maintain their wealth and power through rape and murder, and feast on the blood of starving children. Why would any freedom loving person even want to be in that legal mafia?

Yup, murder, rape, laughing as children starve under their "sanction" boot. Clinton should make a great Sec Gen of the UN.

OK, it won't happen. By tradition, the UN Sec-Gen has to come from a third world country or at least not from the five permenant members of the security council. However, the idea is not as bad as it seems. Firstly, the Sec-Gen usually jumps to the tune of the USA (only the biggest paymaster and debtor) and generally does very little - except when it comes to promoting a veto of certain human rights violations like the shelling of small Arab countries. So if Bill was there, the worse case scenario is that he won't do anything differnt from what's been going on. Secondly, its not a bad idea if gets Bill out of US politics. Hillary as first lady was more involved than she should have been and perhaps if she was distracted elsewhere, things may have turned out more differently. Thirdly, UN is all about deal making and shmoozing and who else is better than Bill at that? He might actually do something - though it may not necessarily be an improvement to what we've got.

Secretary General of the UN would be the next logical step for President Clinton. He was a joke as president and the UN is a joke so why not become the head joker of the biggest joke in the world.

Bill Clinton has more than enough popularity with governments around the world. He is probably in the top 5 of U.S. Presidents in that respect. I don't really think that Hillary, if elected, would have all that much power. To my knowledge, however, she has said publically that he will play a prominent role in her administration. I think he would make a very foreign policy advisor or some such position. That is a very strong plus in my mind for her. She does scare me more often than not.

I think it is scary too! I have had just about enough of the Clintons haven't you??? Don't they have enough money? I mean why do this? I think Bill Clinton can retire on his speaking gigs alone!

I agree with you I did not like her the first time in office I will not be voting for her this time. They made a mockery of the presidentcy regarding their morals, do we want them back into power?

Yes it has been reported that if she is elected that he will be the Secretart General of the UN! We do not need the clintons back in the white House!

Bill Clinton is popular to most of the world because most of the world is anti-united states. Bill Clinton is considered by most of the world to be anti-american. Clinton is pro-UN so he would fit in just fine. Look at the wars that Bill Clinton's foreign polocies got us into. They were all wars that had no US interest in them. They were all fought under UN guidelines and US troops were put under UN generals. NOthing like a Pakistanian general telling US troops what to do. This happened in Somalia. The foreign community views Bill Clinton as a politically inmature. FIrst of all, his domestic policies in his first two years led twelve years of republican control of the Congress. Secondly, if any foreign country wanted to shape US foreign policy all it would have to do would be to tempt Bill Clinton with a pretty female, and then could use that as blackmail, and leverage.

Not a scary thought, Estherlou. Bill Clinton may be just what the US government needs to erase its tarnished image and build up a humane agenda! On the contrary, I think that Bill Clinton becoming the Secretary General may actually be to the unmerited advantage of the US government, seeing he will give the world the falsehood of a humane US government that the US government is incapable of!

I am praying that Hilary doesn't become President. That is terrifying. I am sure she will try to appoint Bill to some prominent post.

I think that would be a funny situation, UN is always under the control of the white house and Bill would not give Hillary much trouble, she can just through furniture at him if the UN opposes her wishes LOL

I couldn't agree more...that is a very scary thought. Either one in control of anything sends shivers up and down my spine. I think the Dems have a good chance of winning the election because of the war, but if it is Hillary in charge I might have to figure on leaving the country...lol.

I am tired of hearing about the Clintons. Bill didn't do a good job in his time at the White House and made a mockery of his office by having an affair and lying. I don't think that she deserves to be in the White House as President and I don't think that he deserves any kind of office. He should be kicked out of Washington.

First of all, the U.S. president does not appoint a secretary general to the un. they dont have that authority. thats decide by a number of member states. so whether she wins or not, its not up to her. Second. there is enough contempt for this country in the un as it is. the last thing we need is one of our own in there telling the world how bad we are. we were hated just as much under clinton and in fact, were attacked a GREAT DEAL more than we are now, (hobar towers, the first world trade center, our african embasies, the cole, the list goes on).

I am so looking forward to arriving in the United States next month and catching up on the America news. I had no idea there was talk of making Bill Clinton Secretary general of the United Nations. How are the officers elected? I know enough about the UN to know they spend a great deal of time bickering amongst themselves, so i am surprised they are planning on listening to Hillary, even if she did manage to become elected. http://www.mikenew.com/unoath.html I found this oath that UN Officers are expected to take, "I solemnly affirm to exercise in all loyalty, discretion and conscience the functions entrusted to me as a member of the international service of the United Nations, to discharge those functions and regulate my conduct with the interest of the United Nations only in view, and not to seek or accept instructions in respect to the performance of my duties from any government or other authority external to the organization." Is it even possible she should be making a hint like that? Unless I am misunderstanding, it seems a bit ingenous.

I do not think having them in office would be that bad, at least not as bad as having George Bush Senior and Junior running things. We know what Bill has done as President in the past and he did not impress me very much. Hillary has not been elected but feel she could do a better job than some of our most recent presidents. It would be interesting to see how they would do with both having important offices.

I am a Canadian and I hope Hillary Clinton is the next president of the USA. I always loved Bill Clinton too and think he did more for America than both of those Bush knobs together. My greatest fear is if the retarded brother Jeb Bush gets elected as President.

yeh, so then I am entitled to think that the best thing that ever happened to canada was that liberal idiot paul martin getting booted out of office and being replaced by some one with a set of balls right?
