what you do? Today is Memorial Day and it looks like it's going to rain on our "parade". In the city I live in there is a major parade that goes right past my house and I mean so close that when the horseback riders stop we can feed the horses an apple! lol...
Every year my daughter and her kids, my mom, my son and his fiance' all come here here and we sit on lawn chairs on the small patch of grass in front of my apartment building and enjoy the parade. We talk and laugh, I make sandwiches and salad and we make a day of it, always having such a fun time.
It's 8 am and it's not looking very pretty out there so I'm afraid our day is going to be ruined.
When you have plans for what should be a nice sunny day and it ends up raining what do you do? Do you always have an alternate plan in place so as not to spoil the entire day?

Wow...sounds like fun. Ü
Anyway, uhm, no not really. I don't really have an alternate plan...i just go with the flow. Like whenever I'm with my friends or boyfriend, when things mess up...things just flow, cause the important thing is that you're with the people that you love. And whatever you do would be fun. as long as you're together.

That's the truth. I've actually seen times when the parade goes on anyway only it's smaller and since my front porch is covered we can always watch it from there. The kids love it.

When I have an important event like a birthday party or a barbeque etc I always have an alternative for bad weather.
It sounds to me like you should prepare some nice food for the family and you can eat it indoors and watch the parade through the window.

Whatever parade goes by here we will definitely watch. My front porch is covered so we could actually sit there with our drinks at least even if it's just to get the kids out of the house for awhile.

I never have an alternate plan. I just go about the day and change what I was going to do. I hardly make plans at all yet alone alternate ones. It's just the way I live since sobering up.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Normally when my plans go to pot, I go back to my apartment and watch some TV with my other half. However, if there is an alternative I prefer to take it. I'm hating the weather here at the moment, it has ruined barbeques, funfairs, pub crawls and shopping trips. If it isn't too late in the day and the weather takes a nasty turn, I head to the gym before it starts pouring down. x

It just looks like rain. That doesn't mean it will rain. Our weather forcast is calling for rain this afternoon so they should still be able to have their parade. Atleast I hope so but if not then we will do a small parade in our house. My daughter will dress up the dogs and her brothers they will all put on their own parade.
We always check the weather a few days before. We keep watching the weather right up until our event. If the weather report is calling for rain the day of our event then I will make a plan a and a plan b. I try not to let the weather ruin our plans.

I had to smile reading about dressing up the dogs. That is adorable. I've been hearing rain for today all weekend and it looks like the sun keeps trying to come out but then the clouds come by and cover it so it looks like it's up in the air right now. Whatever happens have a great day.

Hi,ctrymuziklvr!
If my plans get messed up,I will choose the most important thing to do first and then finish other things.I have encountered the unexpected plan in my life but I will try my best to have an adjustment to my new plan and the former plan.
