Are Your Discussions Well Thought Out?

I was just curious but I was wondering how many people here actually just post questions and other various topics as opposed to writing a well thought out and quality topics. I know sometimes it can get hard to write high quality things when you have covered so many different questions or advice topics, etc. I always try to have well thought out posts that people will enjoy because they are of good quality so what about everyone else, what do you do?

I try to make my discussions high quality, but sometimes it is hard to! I sometimes ask for advice on situations in my day to day life or I ask questions regarding different topics that I think about often. At least I hope that my discussions are somewhat considered a quality discussion lol!

Yes, I haven't been through all of your discussions obviously because there more than double of my post count, but I have been several good quality topics, so you are doing a great job! Have a great day :)

Hey Chris I normally post well thought out topics in my opinion but often it is stuff that is really bothering me and I really want others opinions. More for my understanding of whatever more. Some I like to just relax the mood a little and post something funny or not as serious. Too serious too often will, I think anyway, have pwopole not wanting to look at the posts all the time. If you through in something funny sometimes then it keeps them wanting more.

I have not started a new discussion for a couple of months now. I have been busy just responding to discussions that my friends have started and I am still behind. The end of the school year really prevented me from getting on mylot for any length of time and I am still behind with my friends discussions. But school and graduation is over and I have turned in my students grades so all is well with the world and I should be spending more time now on mylot during the summer. So you might even see some new well thought out discussions from me. I think that most people like to keep their discussions simple so that more people will feel free to answer. If discussions are too complex then most people will not bother to answer.

Strangely enough, the discussions that i start that are right off the top of my head nearly always get more interest than the ones I give a lot of thought to. They are always much mor boring and forced, I guess. I'm not very good at prediciting what people are going to take to.

All of my topics in mylot are all my experiences and i did not contradict others topic. I will discuss it in my own experience and its not really good to contradict others because that makes troubles and i dont like troubles in here.

Sometimes I think out my topic, other times it's just something fun I think would people would enjoy discussing. I've also posted questions. Another time I asked about a good recipe for chicken and rice. Got some great responses and did try a couple of the suggestions. It was good! Really it's just whatever hits me, whenever the inspiration hits me. No real rhyme or reason to it sometimes? That's part of the fun of MyLot for me. :)

I started off posting a discussion coming off as a question to something being discussed on forums or while browsing. But then I noticed lack on interest and then I made it a point to initiate something which would appeal to everybody and attract responses.

Hi Cris, I find my self posting questions that strike me as I go about my daily business, and just wonder what others think or do. I try to keep it generic as not to offend anyone as I have had discussions deleted and I still do not understand why, There are a few discussions i would love to start but dare not do as it would be against the guidelines same goes for answering a post. You have to be very careful as to what you do. I now walk on tippy toes.

I ask about something that has occurred at some point during my day or something in my life. I don't start a heck of a lot of topics and when I answer, I go on what I know or some thought out self-philosophy that only I understand. LOL

All of my discussions and all of my posts are well thought out before i do them. I want to make sure in my discussions it is informative something people are interested into that type of thing and the same for responses i want to be able to truely answer the discussions to contribute to what the person is asking.

I always try to do well thought out discussions that I think people might enjoy participating in. There is nothing more that gets on my nerves then to see discussions with a one line question and no input. I feel like I work pretty hard on here with my discussions and responses so when I see someone that just keeps posting one liners it just irritates me.

Mine so far are well thought out and I know I have seen some really silly questions that are just so common and took two seconds to think of. Mine have been about my life and things that interest me most. I answer some of those quick ones but find them to not interest me much.

In all honesty, mostly I've been trying to spread some truth to shed some light on why our media isn't telling us what's really going on in our country, and other things that just don't smell right, if you know what I mean.
Sometimes I'll rant about something or put in something fun to lighten things up. I'm not really sure what your definition of quality is, but I know lots of people here, myself included, are getting really bored with "What do you like to eat?" and "My boyfriend/husband is a jerk, should I leave him or continue posting about it?" LOL

Most of my discussions are well thought out. I try to start a discussion that alot of people will want to respond to or can relate with. I also try to answer other members discussions very thouroughly because alot of them are looking for advice or they need help with something. I always try to post with quality because alot of members look for that when they rate us also.

i am very sure that my topics are very well thought of. i do not just post discussions because, there is a need to. i post them because, i consider them to be good ones. it is a bad habit to be posting topics for the sake of just having something which will earn some responses and some points. it is always best that we also think in terms of how others will feel upon seeing these posted discussions. if we will just simply post all sorts of discussions here, good ones or otherwise, most will only put off lots of mylotians. this will be most disadvantageous to the poster.
