What was the first car you ever owned?

Mine wasn't a car, it was a used 3/4 ton pickup truck. After I sold that a couple of years later, I bought a used hearse. :D Ok, technically it wasn't really an actual hearse but it had been used to transport bodies from nursing homes to the funeral homes. It was a dark blue station wagon and even still had the curtains up in the back windows. I loved the looks I got in traffic when I drove it. I only kept it for a couple of months but not because of what it had been but because it had the brakes fail and cost me so much to get them fixed I couldn't afford to keep it. I kinda miss that car. Of course, I miss the truck too. LOL Both were still better than the junkheap I drive now.

My first car was a 1985 Chevy Cavalier. I traded it in at 150,000 miles. It cost to much to fix it so I bought another Cavalier. They are great cars and run for a while if you keep them up.

The first car i bought was a 57 Ford, nothing special, 4 door 6 cyl auto. We lived out of town, so i would drive it on the old rocky country roads. I had no license yet and you didn't need insurance then! Since then i've lost track, but i must have owned over 200 vehicles, some for only a couple of days. I just love cars! Take care Gumball.

My first car was a Holden accord '87'. My dad convinced me to buy it. It needed rust cut out of it, new spark plugs, new radiator hoses ect. Anyway i never got it running as didnt have enough time as i was too busy working. So then my parents went out and got a new car then i ended up with their toyota corona '86'. When i finaly got my licence about a month after i had a car accident funny thing about it was it was the exact same car as my first, a Holden accord '87'. I know it wasnt my first car as that ended up getting sold to the wreckers. Funny coincedence i though.

My dad gave me the old family car. A 1988 Pontiac 6000 LE. We had it painted black and I put flames on it. We called the car The Flame. I put on some nice looking hubcaps, nice flame seat covers, put in a cd player, and a flame stearing wheel cover. When I inherited my grandmothers car my dad took that car back(removing my flame stuff of course). It is still a good car, running strong.

My first car was a 1975 Chevy Nova. It was 8 years old when I bought it. I really liked that car. It was a good car and dependable. It looked nice too. A few years after my hubby and I got married we traded it off and got a Dodge Magnum. It was a nice car, too. These days I drive a 1/2 ton Dodge pickup.

My first car was a 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix. A guy hit me in '74 and totaled it out. Then in '75 I bought a Cadillac Eldorado that I drove for two years and then traded it in for a '77 Eldorado that I kept for 17 years. I still miss the Grand Prix. That was a good car.

My first one was a 1975 Chevy Camaro and I had it for about three years before I traded it off for a 1969 Chevy pick-up that soon became my pride and joy then.

My very first car was a 1965 Dodge Dart. My step dad sort of built it for me. It had 3 speed on the column! It was white and I was really into painting with India ink. So, I drew a tree on the trunk with India Ink!! I actually sold some of my paintings of trees from people asking me about the picture on my trunk! It was hilarious!

My first ever car was a suped up ford cortina, then I blew the motor on it and swapped my electric guitar for another cortina motor lol, now this is going back a few years... Anyway I got rid of that and bought a holden commodore v8 and ended up selling that. Today I drive around on a Mazda Eunos 626 and my husband drives a Ford Laser Ghia and he also runs a Subaru Legacy... Soon I would like to get another vehicle running a V8 or bigger lol

LOL You swapped your guitar for a motor and in order to pay the rest of the money I owed for the truck, I traded my 10 speed bicycle for it. :D

My first car was a light blue Ford Galaxy. My dad fixed it up and painted it for me so that it looked decent. I drove it around for quite a while before the transmission finally went.

HI Gumball, My first car was a 1975 Century Buick. Dark blue with a white top. It was a nice car for a first car. It was only a couple of years old when I got it. I drove it a few years. A friend of mine has an old hearse that he drives when he plays in a band. They have band equiptment in there. The hearse is from the 1950's, and the band plays 1950's music.

My very first car was a 1962 Karmann Ghia 1600. It was dark green with a creme color top and white wall tires. It was very sportish and something very special. I loved that car a lot and I was very proud to have it. I still have pictures from way back when and every time someone looks at the pictures there is quite a long talking about such a special car.

The first car I ever drove regularly was a 1982 Chevy Citation which actually belonged to my parents. Then when my husband and I were engaged we bought a 1991 Ford Festiva so I guess that's the first car I actually owned. It was really small and had a tiny engine. I think it's known in other parts of the world as a Mazda 121. Anyway, even though it was small, it was inexpensive and got wonderful gas mileage. Over 40 miles per gallon! We ended up with over 200,000 miles on it before we bought another (larger) car. It was definitely worth the money.
