2012 Earth pole shift

Do you think that the Mayan prophecy of a pole shift where the Earth will flip over on it's side will happen in 2012?
What happens during such a shift is the skin of the earth literally moves. The North and South Poles will end up close to the equators and the equators will end up in the general area of the poles.

i think the china ppl also have this same prophecy but it was mad many year before the mayans or mybe the other way around

The Chinese, the Indians, Mayans, and the Hopi Indians too. Also the Holy Bible predicted this. Five separate sources clearly not 'talking' or 'coaching' each other. One you can dismiss, two is coincidence, three is really weird, four you need to take a second look, five is getting downright creepy.

Please correct me if im wrong here, but if the earth does decide to flip over and N becomes S and S becomes N doesnt that mean that our ozone layer completely vanishes thus causing the human race and everything else living on this planet to die of radiation poisoning? I heard this from someone somewhere but i cannot remember, this could just be aload of poppycock but still its something i though i should ask to see if its right or wrong

It is very possible that a pole shift will force an evolution. At the very least, it will force a change in our cultures and how we manage things. For example, during the magnetic pole shift, the sun's intensity will have no mitigating factor so we will have to build-adapt-lifestyle change for that or face skyrocketing cancer rates.
