Miss Usa slipped!

I couldn't believe it either when I saw Miss USA slip. When I hit rewind on my DVR, it looked like she may have stepped on the hem of her dress which caused her heels to slide out from under her. She did recover very quickly and was able to smile and work the runway as if nothing had gone wrong, so kudos to her for being able to continue. I think perhaps the Mexican audience may have been boo'ing her because they did not feel that she deserved to be in the top five after that, and because Miss Mexico had failed to make the final cut.

hi there. :) well, i dont really think it would hurt the image of miss usa. :) in fact, she was already in the top 5. :) sometimes, it may even be an asset or something which she would be remembered for even though how many years have already passed. :) lolz. :) in a good way to be remembered, i might add. you see, not everyone has the chance to be in a miss universe pageant. :)

I dont think slipping would hurt Miss Usa's chances of getting the crown. I didnt watch the pageant but as you mentioned, she just stood up again and smiled like nothing has happened. If i were one of the judges, i would give credit to her for still being able to show the poise of a true lady after that embarrassing moment.

that also happened to Ms Philippines Miriam Quiambao in the Ms. Universe pageant back in 99 but she stood up and smiled as if nothing happened. she eventually won as first runner-up. i guess the judges don't give demerits whenever candidates lose their footing. after all when you stumble in real life, you have to get up again. it's the way you carry yourself that matters.
