On Friday I received this email from a Arthur Johnson with business proposal in the subject line. I am almost positive that this is a scam, however my questions are How did this person get my email address and I just noticed my email address is not listed in the To section so How was this person able to person send me an email if my email address was not listed in the To section. Has anyone ever received this email? How was this person able to email without my email address being listed? How do these scammers get email addresses? Please share your experiences. I too get such unsolicited mails. The moment I see them, I remove them immediately without even opening the mail. You make sure you do not open such mails, because sometimes they may carry some viruses.

There are many websites which collects email address (when you become a member) and they sell these email addresses to those who are wanting it for marketing purposes and those guys send unsolicited mails.

E Mails like these are a joke. I get them all the time. They can be very annoying. Sometimes when I'm in a bad mood, I write them back a nasty letter and tell them what scamming jokers they are. All in caps with lots of !!@@##**!! involved haha. It makes me feel better when I'm having a bad day, to take it out on some stranger nit-wit person who thinks they will get any money out of me lol.

I just can't believe you're shocked by that. Nowadays, your information isn't safe anymore. Wherever you have any e-mail account, they probably sell your information to alot of spammers. That is to expected alot because that is how people make money by spamming.

I am also receiving this kind of mails. In fact, I could no longer count how many scam mails offering business partnership went into my inbox. I never believed in them. I just delete the scam mails.

Hello, msjigga,i have not received this email before but i have received other scams emails, few days ago,i got an email which told me i have won 500 dollars from yahoo mail,i was a bit skeptical about it as i was asked to give them my paypal address and name,i though it should be a scam or it would not ask for my personal details. I am not sure how those scammers get our email addess though.
