Just rec'd this via e-mail:
A warning, you must pay attention!!!!
Warn everyone you know through e-mail, not to open an e-mail with
"Mail Server Report" in the subject line.
This one is real!
Urgent!! This is a Please don't open!
This one checks out and is a bona fide real virus so hence the warning.
Any email with "Mail Server Report" in the subject line is a new virus And should not be opened. It comes with an attachment in 'zip format'.
Apparently there is a Zip file attached so be very leery of anything with a zip file on it. The message tells you that a worm was detected in an e-mail that you sent out and asks you to open and install the attachment to fix the Problem.
Only, it IS the problem!
DO NOT DO IT! Delete the e-mail. This is a real threat.
You can check it out at snopes:

I had noticed getting several of those lately, but yahoo had been putting them into my bulk mail folder, so I wasn't paying any attention to them. Thanks for the heads up.

Well I will have to tell my friends about this one. Thank you for sharing it with us.
I gave gabs my e-mail and when she sent it I was almost going to delete it as spam, as I did not know she went by gaby and there was no subject. I took a chance though as I know she is like me in the forgetful area and I am glad I opened it.

Thanks for the heads up on this one and most of all thank you for checking the validity of this. If Snopes and TruthorFiction say it's true you can be sure it's true. I love both those sites and any time I get a warning like this I check with them to see if it's true... Of course it's never a good idea to open emails of any kind that contain attachments - always run virus scanner on them first, even if you know the person it's from.

thanks for the heads up. I rarely will open attachments, and I have family that insists on forwarding me everything as an attachment. sorry folks, didn't read that one. again.
Nice to be aware of these threats, especially as it checks out with snopes.
thanks again.

Thanks for the warning. I'll keep my eyes open for it. It would be nice if these people would find something useful to do with their lives instead of ruin other peoples computers.

If it's truth and fiction should we only open half of it?

It would have come up because it's the most active of my discussions started because someone responded to it yesterday...I have no idea why...the info is not factual anymore....lol. I always answwer from my email alerts...I can't answer them all of course but at least I can read them. How do you find discussions....pick a friend and see what they've been up to? Or discussions your friends started or something?

it comes up in my email and i respond from there. unless someone has responded to one of my discussions i started. then i go from email to the discussion, respond to their response, then go to their profile to respond to one of theirs. if that makes any sense that way iam returning the favor of their comment on mine. which is why i do have friends that i never get to theirs because they dont mine

I had not heard of this virus until now and appreciate very much the warning about the virus. I do not open files sent to me from users that I do not know or recognize. Of course, we have to hope as well that our friends do not open this attachment or any other attachments that are known to have viruses. These people keep coming up with new viruses. It is ashame that these people do not use their brains for something better and less destructive.

Thank you for the warning...I always tell my man to be careful when opening files. I recently had malware downloaded and had to pay 150 dollar to get it fixed and it was reprogramed .I am more cautious now and keep an eye out for things like these so thank you so much!
